Oh my!! This is the same tune as Fiji's National Anthem 'God Bless Fiji' ... Fiji is also known as 'Bula Land' as Tourism is the main industry and the word Bula means to greet others after a long period of time/greeting new people/tourists/visitors ...etc ..what a coincidence
Without a doubt, this song has an extra-special meaning for me. First of all, every time I hear it, I recall the days of my youth often singing it at Sunday School. It was then, that all the classes - old and young alike - gathered together and sang some hymns together. This is one that definitely stands out from my boyhood days. In fact, here I am at age 72 and it is like I can still hear the distinct voices of those who led the singing. While many of us were not blessed with vocal talent, we sang from the heart, and that is one of the reasons why I remember it so well. Add to this the message it conveys, and this is the reason I have always enjoyed both singing or listening to it being sung. I remember telling my wife, who has since passed into the Church Triumphant, that when I too pass on that I want this sung at my funeral service because death is not an end, but rather the beginning of life eternal. It is indeed a time of joy, when we need to sing joy-filled songs of celebration not songs of sorrow and grief. There are assuredly some beautiful hymns that can be included, but when it is time to sing that final song, this is the one I will have chosen "---O yes I am feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply, for I am dwelling in Beulah Land." Praise God for His wonderful promise!
This was my husband's favorite song. He went to Bible Study at my church and they always sang a song. If no one asked for a particular song, he would request "Beulah Land".

Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling; Then I know the sins of earth beset on every hand; Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling; None of these shall move me from Beulah Land. Refrain: I’m living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky, I’m drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry; Oh, yes! I’m feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply, For I am dwelling in Beulah Land. Far below the storm of doubt upon the world is beating, Sons of men in battle long the enemy withstand; Safe am I within the castle of God’s Word retreating; Nothing then can reach me-’tis Beulah Land. Let the stormy breezes blow, their cry cannot alarm me; I am safely sheltered here, protected by God’s hand; Here the sun is always shining, here there’s naught can harm me; I am safe forever in Beulah Land. Viewing here the works of God, I sink in contemplation; Hearing now His blessed voice, I see the way He planned; Dwelling in the Spirit, here I learn of full salvation; Gladly I will tarry in Beulah Land.

bigjohnfl This is not pharisaical at all. This is Biblical. God calls us to worship in the beauty of holiness, holiness meaning set apart from the world and sin. This song is put to secular music, it is not holy, thus unbiblical.
+Zachary Hammond Your opinion that the music is secular is what makes it pharisaical. I get why you don't understand that yet and am praying that you some day will. The very hymns set to the style of music that is is our hymn books was considered secular by many at the time they were written. Modern and secular are not the same thing. You do not have the right or ability to judge the hearts of those playing those inanimate objects. A judgemental spirit is pharisaical.
+bigjohnfl I remember reading in To Kill a Mockingbird: A footwasher baptist. They believed anything pleasurable was a sin. God didn't put us here to be miserable. :P

Mas as coisas deste mundo já não me perturbam,

Mas estou bem firme na Palavra de meu Deus,
Pois habito em Terra de Beulá.

Eu não temo pois seguro estou nas mãos de Deus;
Vivo à luz do Sol e da presença de meu Rei,

Dwelling In Beulah Land
/
Letras
Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling;
Then I know the sins of earth beset on every hand;
Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling;
None of these shall move me from Beulah Land.
I'm living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky,
I'm drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry;
Oh, yes! I'm feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply,
For I am dwelling in Beulah Land.
Let the stormy breezes blow, their cry cannot alarm me;
I am safely sheltered here, protected by God's hand;
Here the sun is always shining, nothing there can harm me;
I am safe forever in Beulah Land.
I'm living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky,
I'm drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry;
Oh, yes! I'm feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply,
For I am dwelling in Beulah Land.
I'm living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky,
I'm drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry;
Oh, yes! I'm feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply,
For I am dwelling in Beulah Land.

That is Tim Parton on the piano, very pleasing for everyone there also!

Those kids that are bouncing and singing, are they with their real parents?
Parents, and, or grand parents. This was about 20 years ago.
That is Jeff & Sheri Easter's daughter, Morgan.
If you look up many of the children in this video, you might find that many of them are married.
Destruction of a good hymn with secular music styles. A shame
+Zachary Hammond What exactly is a secular music style? I only know - make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
+Zachary Hammond I used to think the same way. So grateful that the Lord delivered me from that pharisaical way of thinking.
bigjohnfl This is not pharisaical at all.
Now as an adult I realize how brainwashed children are in religion. Very sad.
My life is you lord
Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling,
Then I know the sins of earth beset on every hand;
Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling,
None of these shall move me from Beulah Land.
I’m living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky,
I’m drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry;
O yes, I’m feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply,
For I am dwelling in Beulah Land.

Far below the storm of doubt upon the world is beating,
Sons of men in battle long the enemy withstand;
Safe am I within the castle of God’s word retreating,
Nothing then can reach me, ’tis Beulah Land.
3
Let the stormy breezes blow, their cry cannot alarm me,
I am safely sheltered here, protected by God’s hand;
Here the sun is always shining, here there’s naught can harm me,
I am safe forever in Beulah Land.

Viewing here the works of God, I sink in contemplation,
Hearing now His blessed voice, I see the way is planned;
Dwelling in the spirit, here I learn of full salvation,
Gladly will I tarry in Beulah Land.
God bless you
It helped me read and sing along as long as I wanted
