- Aoife Wilson and Johnny Chiodini are back for another Eurogamer Late to the Party, and this week we're getting all emotional again with another game from Quantic Dream's back catalogue. Johnny's never played Fahrenheit, also known as Indigo Prophecy in the US, so what will he make of its weird controls, its crime scene etiquette, and its classic dad rock?

Fairly sure Aoife's unrelenting enthusiasm in these videos may be the cure to all sadness ever
i guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Bruce Apollo instablaster ;)
Aoife just casually mentions how hard it is to get blood out of an Aran sweater, and Johnny lets that slide.
When someone mentions how hard it is to get blood out of an Aran sweater THAT casually, there is no way I'm going to ask them how they know. (Johnny)
Man, I wish this was a series. Great laughs, thanks.
Badalamenti wrote the music for twin peaks. Also great video.
What are we giving the Christopher Walken impressions, out of 10?
Eurogamer
I'd give it 3 Waffles and a used boot.
Johnny sounded like The Count from Sesame Street
No Man's Sky
She sayyyyyss out of 10.
rodpad SHE SAAAAAAID
I adored this game back in the day. I admit it's probably aged a bit and it does go batshit in the last third or so but the opening (in the bathroom, not Cage proclaiming the game's greatness) is one of my favourites. I played the demo of this about twenty times through messing around with what happened when I did certain things.
I loved the game as well, also because of the demo and its many choices. The rest of the game had a number of great moments as well. I must have completed it at least eight times, despite the story making less sense the further the game progresses. Strangely enough, one of my favorite moments was Lucas playing the guitar. Such a nice little mini game and the atmosphere in that moment is astonishing.
Yeah the more mundane moments were what stuck with me. I remember Carla having a friend over for dinner and them playing with Tarro (sp?) cards. I loved you could play Lucas' stereo as well and so you could potter about to some music :D
Yes, the ordinary moments were really something special, because most other games didn't bother with such things at the time. Carla's apartment was certainly a high point, but I also liked Tyler's funkidelic place with his constantly worried girlfriend. These flats felt like the most realistic places I had seen in games at that moment in time and they add so much more detail to the characters, their preferences, fears, just general life and lifestyle.
I can definitely say I'm glad David Cage makes games. I would never in a million years want him to make all games...but I'm glad he makes some.
Another great Late to the Party with Johnny and Aoife! thanks guys :)
Stop it with the Johnny Mushroom chants, Aoife! You made me choke on a yoghurt during last week's Late to the Party and you nearly made me suffer the same fate with a curry this time.
+Michael Patterson
Michael, you strike me as a person with a well rounded diet. I can respect that. (Johnny)
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic there, Mr Chiodini. It was a Katsu curry inspired by your Chiodini Kitchen series that I was eating that I nearly choked on this time.
Michael Patterson So it was totally Johnny's fault, not mine!
Aoife Wilson you're right. It's all your fault Johnny Mushroom!
Love this series. It's like Mystery Science Theater 3000 meets video games! XD. If there were long play unedited versions, I'd be watching for hours.
"You, the master of blood mopping" LMAO
33:31 Seriously? "Kids don't sink, do they?!'
The coffee cooled with practiced bravado.
Johnny saying fuck off gives me life
I'd like to request that Aoife and Johnny record a regular podcast. It can be about anything, but always spoken in your 1940s detective noir voices.
Loving that these lps are getting longer! :D
Aoife's sad that she and Johnny didn't get to the uncomfortable sex scenes in the game. I'm sad that they didn't get to the completely ridiculous yet ridiculously awesome Matrix fight scenes.
Crows are often associated with death. 1 crow starts the One for Sorrow rhyme.
I feel like we're learning a lot about Aoife and Johnny in this episode...
Glad I'm not the only one who immediately goes with the name Butts if I can't think of anything within a few seconds
I'm so sad you guys didn't do the tutorial, best part of this game.
Wonky controls aside, it's one of my favorite games of the 6th gen
So glad Johnny Mushrooms failed fleeing Doc's Diner the first time round so that we could get that Rick and Morty reference one more time! Do you think the "perv crow" knows when season three comes out?
Should do Deadly Premonition,FK in the coffee
That crow is a bad influence, any more of them show up and it’ll be murderous.
'I have a vision... of a toilet'
Best series 😍
I wish they played the tutorial because there's David Cage himself telling you how to do things.
I loved Beetle Adventure Racing! I didn't think anyone else ever played it
This was the most bizarre game that I played when it first came out and it was fantastic at the time. But it has lost some of it luster mainly due to the abstract systems that people feel nowadays need to be more scripted and give you a half hours tutorial. This game was raw, interesting, weird and a unique experieance that is hard to find in this time of QTE left, right and centre.
About 33:33, clearly Aoife has never watched IT. Beep beep. They all float down here. When you`re down here, you`ll float too.
+jamo19781978 I have but due to severe disgust for clowns I had successfully wiped it from my memory. UNTIL NOW, so THANKS for that! (Aoife)
My pleasure. There`s a remake due out soon as well. Pennywise is coming for you.........
Aoife and Johnny sing butt rock; good times.
So that music wasn't so great but that Sandpaper Kisses song on the soundtrack is legit.
I used to like this game but then the last 30% happen.
I loaned someone my Norton Anthology copy of Jane Eyre... so I mostly understand.
Did Johnny play Mass Effrect yet?
All I remember from Fahrenheit is that if you take painkillers then drink wine you die, instant game over.
"Well, it's a David Cage game, so its pretentious, misguided, vaguely insulting to pretty much everyone, and not worth anybody's time or money."
This game was cool. The story changed depending on how you played each scene. If you did a good job as one but a shoddy job as the other they will mention that. You can chose how well both the police and him do.
I remember playing this a ton. At least until the last 30%, then it went all crazy and lost me.
But until then it was fantastic.
why didn't you guys play the pc remaster?
I like Johnny's shirt.
I...uhhh... kind of like theory of a deadman and nickelback....:)
why not do full playthroughs
Aoife, you are gorgeous!🌻
Having never played this game, it looks utterly tedious to play. Much better to watch!
that accent tho
Watching you try to revive that kid was so cringey, that was such an easy minigame
So Aiofe's Bi? So many mixed signals
Lucas really sounds like Keanu Reeves
Julian Pettifer woah
Why all the Theory of a Deadman hate??? lol great band.
Because they are a shitty ripoff of Nickelback, who themselves are also shitty.
James Bravery Theory of a Deadman are a massive shit stain in what is otherwise a good soundtrack.
Of all the games I've ever played, this one has probably aged the worst. Everything about it is just terrible. Except this video
I really like the David Cage games, they have weird controls and a some strange plot twists. But the stories are amazing and the characters are really great.
Really looking forward to Kara... I mean Detroit become human.
I like Aiofe's brown hair color more compared to her old blonde hair. Fits her complexion better.
Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain are two of the worst games eveeeeeer ugh
