The Ultimate Tram Driving Experience at Crich, July 2018

How I learnt to drive a tram at the National Tramway Museum in Crich. Very many thanks to driver/instructor Paul Hobson, guard/conductor Nigel Lemons and to my fellow learner driver Robert for a splendid day.
Thanks also to the Society for agreeing to my request to drive newly-restored Leeds 180. I had an honorary aunt who was a tram conductress in Leeds, and I have a strong childhood memory of being taken along during last tram week in 1959 to have a ride on Aunty Olive’s tram. I screamed from start to finish.
