      So how did you become a business analyst? I would like to follow your path.

    Very nice content gentle man. So and a BA how do you verify and validate your requirements. What actions and steps would you take before development ?

    • @theagilebusinessanalyst
      @theagilebusinessanalyst  Год назад

      I verify a requirement by checking if the requirement is: atomic, complete, consistent, concise, feasible, unambiguous, understandable and testable. Also I like to ask for the opinion of one of my team members if they also think that a certain requirement fulfills these criteria. Always great having a 2nd pair of eyes.
      I validate a requirement by asking myself if this requirement is really necessary, if it really serves a purpose and is justified by a business need. It helps to ask the stakeholder, who came up with the requirement, WHY the stakeholder needs it. If there is a good reason, then the requirement is valid.
      Before handing over the requirement to the developers, as mentioned in the video, I need to verify and validate it first. Also seeking the confirmation/approval from the stakeholders is needed before handing it over to the developers.

      @@theagilebusinessanalyst can you also use prototyping, wireframes , uml diagrams, process maps, to validate?

    • @theagilebusinessanalyst
      @theagilebusinessanalyst  Год назад

      @@justechos I would say you can use prototypes, wireframes, process diagrams as verification. These techniques will help you to make the requirements more clear, more precise etc.
      For validation (does a requirement make sense, does it fulfill a need), the use case diagram can help.
