I think Tom Grossi winning Fan of the Year might be the least controversial award given last night.
I don't think any other fan raised half a million for st Jude this year. Definitely well deserved!
And Stephen Stefanski winning COY is the most controversial.

Well-deserved
No controversy there!
Comeback player of the year was always given to players that come back AND perform well. Hamlin's stats look like they never revived him.
Great comment
That’s cold 😂😂
True, he has like 12 plays on defense all season and a bunch of special team plays.
So was Hamlin when he was out@@marinodejesus8024
Revived what u mean he wasn't a starter to begin with
I thought Baker was gonna lock up Comeback player of the Year.
Last season he was an afterthought, and then comes back to lead the Bucs to a division title, a playoff victory, and is gonna get a well deserved bag in free agency from a team.
Shoutout to Tom Grossi too.
Browns fan but totally agree he deserved it over Flacco. There were so many people saying he wouldn't even beat out Trask and that he was a bridge til Tampa picks a QB in the draft. Honestly happy for him but not surprised. Darn near identical numbers to his 2020 season. Wish like hell we'd stuck with him. Instead another draft with no #1 and praying Rusty remembers how to throw next year.
@@clevelandcbiPshh Baker won the worst division 😳😂😂

Lamar almost getting a unanimous MVP in a season where he wasnt a top 5 QB is CRAZY. Might as well rename the MVP to whoever is the QB of the 1 seed.
How are you determining that? Top 5 in both passer rating and QBR, only 7 interceptions all year, 11th in passing TDs despite resting in week 18, had the hardest schedule in the NFL and went 13-3, top 10 in total offensive yards. What 5 QBs are you putting ahead of him?
Add all that to the fact that he had backup rbs after the starter got hurt week 1, a washed up OBJ, bateman who is mediocre, and a rookie zay flowers who is good but has improving to do.
Purdy has CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle
Dak has Ceedee who is easily top 3
Allen has Diggs and threw a boat load of picks (the reason they looked terrible mid-season)
Mahomes is the GOAT but threw twice as many picks and had a worse QBR/passer rating
Ravens had a top five offense with zero pro bowl skill players thanks to Lamar. Swear all these haters just popped up after the afccg
no lamar = no ravens = no playoffs
@@huntermorris7421Mahomes is not the GOAT. He’s the GOOT(Greatest of our time)
@@huntermorris7421 15th in passing yards is not great for a quarterback. 14 quarterbacks put up more yards than him. He ran the ball well, but that is a supplemental stat to passing, not a replacement.
Fully agree with the 8 voters who refused to rank Hamlin. It's a football award, he did not do anything on the field
Also big congrats to Tom Grossi for Fan of the year. You had him on the show when he was doing the 30 in 30 for st judes. Really hope you do say something about that on tomorrows show or bring him in to talk about the journey before he has to fly home. I think it would be a nice touch on your part and a way to show love to the one award that doesnt get really recognized
Offensive rookie of the year is fine with stroud.. but damn puca and LaPorta both set some records also..
Just the fact that Laporta and Gibbs were in the conversation says a lot about Brad Holmes and why he is executive of the year. They also had Hutchinson in the conversation last season. The Lions are doing everything right ATM.
Tampa was supposed to tank. Baker better than Bradys final season. Flacco saved a desperate Browns team. Both deserved a win. Hamlin???? JUST NO.

It’s not featured in this video here, but thank you for mentioning Willie Anderson during your chat about who did not make the HOF this year. You only mentioned a few names and Willie was one of them. As a lifelong Bengals fan, I thank you for that. He is one of the very best right tackles ever and he deserves to be in the HOF. He went up against some of the greatest pass rushers and sackers of all time and always held his ground. 16 sacks allowed in 13 seasons. That is phenomenal. It took dying and getting disrespectfully omitted from the NFL In Memoriam thing to finally get Ken Riley into the HOF. I can’t imagine what it will take to get Willie in there not to mention Chad Johnson, Andrew Whitworth, Corey Dillon, and the greatest QB to have never won the SB - Kenny Anderson. Enjoy the Super Bowl weekend, fellas. don’t drink too much.
Loving how deep this guy is into his homerism, to the point that he refuses to actually name any of the great sackers that Willie Anderson played against. Never change!
Kenny Anderson is better than Dan Marino, as it relates to greatest QB to never win a Super Bowl?
Hahahahaha, quit smoking crack! Kenny Anderson isn’t even on the top 10 list of great QBs to never win a Super Bowl. Never mind being the greatest on that list, geeez H christ, you are a delusional homer!
Not a Baseball fan in the slightest. But one thing they've done right, are the awards.
NFL, don't change Awards. Add more. Whose the best in every position, in both conferences. Then the term BEST could be decided between the AFC winner and NFC winner. No more controversy, everyone's happy
CPOY is about your comeback, not how you went out
Hamlin played like 4 plays all season. Give me a break. If that never happened he would’ve been cut last year
4:55 just call it the Randy Orton award, for the player with the most "outta nowhere" good season 😂
Talk about some sell outs 💀
How did Damar Hamlin deserve it? The dude barely played and had no injury report that had to do with last year so that doesn’t make sense
TJ Watt has been the best defensive player in the NFL for 4 of the last 5 years & he was hurt that 5th year. The Steelers are 1-11 [!!!] without him.

It is hard enough to have an apples to apples comparison with these players during the regular season. Comparing players that don't make the post season with those who do will be even worse. With individual awards we have to keep opportunity as equal as possible.
Love It Pat ThePatMcAfeeShow Bro Let's Gooooooooo.
MCDC SHOULD HAVE BEEN COACH OF YEAR
Not even close.
Campbell does not deserve COTY. Sorry, but he just does not. Stefanski and Ryans deserved it way more. Campbell just got caught in a situation where he would have had a better shot to get it last year, but Daboll deserved it more. Lions were already projected to win division and be a deep playoff team. Lions did that in a much weaker NFC where the Packers looked better than them at the end of the year and the Vikings got eliminated due to injuries. Stefanski had an injury riddled team including at QB in not only the AFC, but the best division in football and got them to the playoffs.
It was a toss up between Stefanski and Ryans. AFC Sout his just way weaker than the AFC North, so I think the Stefanksi pick was right. Ryans did a great job turning that team around along with the drafted talent they got, but they did it in probably the second worst division in football, so I think Stefanski gets the edge.
@@bojangles11111who tf thought they were going to make a deep playoff run? Because nobody ever in this city thought they’d make it to the NFC Champ game. Definitely agree with a division win, but we didn’t even really think a playoff win would happen. To say MCDC didn’t deserve it is wild. Sure, division wasn’t the greatest but still have to win the games which they did. 12-5 with a NFC championship appearance beats 11-6 and a wildcard loss any day. Guess being the Browns HC gives you bonus points.
Andy Reid
@@MrHunterbg Lions were projected to make a run by many at the start of the season. They were 9th in betting odds to win the Super Bowl and the 4th NFC team. Lions had zero adversity during the year and if anything had many breaks go their way. Browns dealt with multiple injuries in the hardest division in football. Yes, Stefanski gets points in the race for that. MCDC deserved to be in the conversation and he was. He got third, but he did not deserve to win and he wasn't close to winning. It was between two guys and those two were neck and neck above everyone else, rightfully so.
Stefanski was missing 23% of his entire roster and had 4 different QBs while making the playoffs MCDC aint doing that ever

It's easy. Garrett gets held and double teamed every play because he's unstoppable.
He cries to much about it ever since they gave the award to Donald in 2020 over him dude just cries. @leventinmytown he needs to show sportsmanship and composer towards his peers. Every year he tears down the other candidates and cries that he doesn't get the award.
