To make leaf cleanups lore profitable, have only teams of three. Whoever is using then stand on blower, should also have a backpack blower. All backpack blower operators should also carry a hand-held blower. This makes your team of three more like a team of 5 or 6. Also, the Scag blower is great when the leaves don’t pile up. Because the air discharge shoot is at ground level any significant pile of leaves will direct the air current upward and not forward. This is a design flaw for the Scag. The toro turbine blower has a design where the air discharges from a higher delivery point. This makes moving large piles of leaves easier. Combine that with an operator with a backpack blower and the leaves that are airborne will be moved even further with the backpack blower support. The same idea applies to backpack operators. The backpack blower can move larger piles when a handheld is either lifting leaves for the backpack blower to move or the visa versa, the hand held can move what the backpack blower stirs up. The key is that moving leaves that are off the ground are moved much further and more efficiently with two blowers. I highly recommend you try one guy with a hand held to determine if buying a handheld is for you. The financial impact is you’re adding a low cost blower (one time expense) and reducing the number of employees (hourly expense). This is the manic sauce for profitable leaf cleanups…Two blowers with each operator. One final benefit, with two blowers in hand, blowing around bushes, in corners and along fences is a breeze. With low chain link fence, the operator can have the handheld over the fence blowing leaves outside to the inside while the backpack blower moves leaves even further. Contact me with any question. I own and operate Ideal Lawnscape, in Montana).
Great teamwork and coordination. Still rocking those Husky 580's and Redmax 8560's I see. Do you guys plan to swap over to the Redmax 9000 in the future?
Where's the safety gear like goggles and dusk mask .....the guys on blower machines at one point they were all over the place but they got it together at the end they stayed behind the leaf line
What a chaotic synchronized job. Love watching these.
Every time I see the big hose sucking those leaves, I think of the Grinch. Lol You yours for good. Enjoyed the Scripture.
