You said that you always under estimate the length of tasks. When l worked for someone else, l found that I did that and was often delivering projects "late". So l started doubling my estimates. Sometimes l was early, but often l was right on time. ... Now that l work for myself, l still double my estimates. If I finish my task early, l use that time for unscheduled tasks that seem to appear unexpectedly or to spend extra time with my family. (l schedule family time but they can always use extra time as well.) 💖🌞🌵😷
The light bulb just went off for me -- create specific goals, and individual sticky notes IF (and only if) that leads to more success.... These things are tools to support (not missed 'shoulds' to beat myself up for). I've heard all this a dozen times, but somehow this video made it real for me. I'm in a transition of being retired, and sorting out where motivation now comes from. Thanks so much for your consistent sharing!
Okay, I've heard you say this a bajillion times - but it finally just got into my little brain. I'm absolutely going to count up the REALISTIC number of work hours per week and do this thing like you do it. Okay...I'm doing it!!
Same here!! It finally *clicked* 😂 sheesh-I always overestimate how much I’m going to get done and cram my schedule so full!! I definitely need to add some “breathing room” this time. From one overachiever to another-good luck!!❤
First things first, all I could watch when you were working on your sticky notes was your adorable Evie. OMGosh she is so adorable! Pulled me back in time to when my daughter was that little. The sweetest times. Thank you for sharing your planning. Here's to a great quarter!!
It's been hitting highs of 108 around where I am in Texas, and I can't imagine having to go out or be active in it with the kids. Stay safe out there! Also, my partner has sleep apnea, and has used his CPAP machine for years. Once he adjusted to it, it did wonders for his rest and health. And now when I am on vacation alone or he's not there with me, I feel so concerned without those machine noises to lull me to rest. I wish I didn't live in such a tiny apartment and had an office/ritual space to myself, but I did clean and organize my desk and shelves, so while still cramped, I am now much more comfortable and invigorated to sit here and use my desk and notebooks and things. Always excited to see more videos from you, and now I gotta go check out that other new video stuff too. I miss out on a lot thanks to YT algorithms and haven't looked at your other channel in a while, whoops lol
Just hearing your uplifting comments at the end of your videos helps me so much! Thank you for being such a positive person and sharing your way of doing things- they definitely resonate!❤❤❤ Love you Sarra
I like you point system, where you give yourself a point for drinking water, etc. But l needed more. I made stickers for those behaviors and I get to apply one on my daily page. The stickers are really fun! And they are easy to see, so when I flip through, l get a dopamine hit every time l see a sticker, even if I'm looking for something else! Remember, stickers are just a tool! Once I develop the habit and don't need the sticker anymore, it's okay to just list it on a to-do list or even include it as "self care routine". 💖🌞🌵😷
So glad I'm not the only one who hasn't set up their Kanban board yet. 😊 I was diagnosed with sleep apnea seven years ago. Once I found the mask that works the best for me, it has been a game changer. It helps me fall asleep faster, and I'm not constantly waking (except when my cat tries to pounce on my face. She's fascinated by it lol). I hope you're able to get used to it. It really makes a difference. 💜
Hear it once, hear it again. I just need to keep revisiting this. Thanks for all the support. --- Oh, teeny question, but my geeky mind wants to know: do you use your Neo keyboards or are they a fun collection? If used, what for? Thx again!
I don't use the Neo very often anymore but I still use the Dana sometimes when I'm really needing to focus on my writing and don't want any distractions!
I really like this board. I’m not a writer, but I seem to really like your videos about writing. I’m currently at university, about to enter my final year in September. I’m thinking about using sticky notes to do a board like that for my studies. I’m planning on using preptober and nanowrimo as a good foundation for starting my dissertation/thesis.
I started using a kanban board when I was working on my thesis, and it was so motivating to see the little sticky notes move. Kept me going and kept me sane, LOL! Good luck for your final year and your thesis, you can do it! 💪💯💕
I absolutely intend to write today. I had some good ideas yesterday while brainstorming in the car when we drove to and from the book event we went to in Cologne (3hrs Drive). I need to put them down on paper and I have nothing planned this afternoon and evening, so....
So good to see you not blaming yourself when you haven't done everything ! That give me hope for myself XD GG for the Heartbreathings kanban board. A complete one must feel good. I will put some goals for me too. You give me the motivation (I passed 6 hard months where I stop. Now, I'm exited to go back in it). Thx again. Kisses from France
New cpap sleeper here as well. I’m about 2 months in. And it is definitely an adjustment. I’m not yet fully comfortable sleeping with something on my face 😂 but I will say I have noticed a significant difference when I wake up. I feel more rested and I no longer wake up with those headaches. I learned a few tips and tricks and tweaked a few things to make it more comfortable. But the benefits have definitely been felt!
This is just what I needed to see today! I am a new follower of yours and I have been trying to figure out how I can visually layout the things I want to accomplish. I really resonate with how you do things and have decided that I will sign up for your next 90 day planning thingy😊🥰
Sleep apnea is often related to weight. So as you loose weight, get reevaluated periodically. (Doctors don't always remember to follow up.) You might not need that CPAP machine for long. (more motivation to loose weight!) 💖🌞🌵😷
You are amazing ❣️All that you do and all you giving us 🙏Thank you! And you can and you shuld still take time of , to enjoy life💪💪💪 when summer is over...
Wow! Really inspiring video for me to sit down with my goals and map them out like this. I benefit from redundancy too! Thank you for sharing this video and how-to! 😊😊
I was celebrating quietly with you when you were going through your Q2 review… woohoo! Yes! Be proud of your accomplishments! And your message at the end of the video was so needed ❤
I don’t know if you’ll see this, but here’s a kind of unique way to track your 6M4L stuff… Keep a stack of a “counting” items (sticky notes, medallions/coins made from laminated cardstock, pony beads) next to each “station” for the items on your 6M4L tracker (on the treadmill, next to sleep machine, at where you fill your water, etc.). Color code them for each station. Then get one of those large vitamin boxes that has the days of the week sorted out (or something along those lines) and make sure it will fit your “counting” items. This is your “bank”. Each time you use the treadmill/get a glass of water/use your sleep machine/etc. take one of your counter items & put it in your pocket. At the end of the day, sort the counting items into your bank. At the end of the week, count out what you have in the bank and return the counting items to their station. Hope this helps
the cpap will get easier and even if you don't use it 6,8hrs a night. You'll notice a difference w/ only 4hrs. your mental clarity and energy will increase and it;ll be easier to exercise etc. And as your weight goes down, you may not need it. (although sleep apnea can be heredity for some) tfs your weight loss, it's an encouragement. I have a lot of similar health issues. 😊
Hi Sarra! Have you done a video of your desk space before? I'm so curious where your keyboard is from and any other techy items you find helpful at your workspace!
Hi. I recently subscribed to your channel and really interested in the whole “setting goals” and the quarterly goal setting. I’m going to watch your videos a bit more before I start asking questions.
@@HeartBreathings I also messaged you on Instagram. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have heard several other content creators talk about this board and it interests me. I need to get organized and get things done. I think if I set some realistic goals and have a system I could get things accomplished. To do lists aren’t working so much for me anymore. I have 2 part time jobs and 4 children and 5 great grand children and a husband. To say that I’m pulled in lots of directions is an understatement 😊
Writing reset? I just came across your channel and love what I see. I am also in the middle of writing my book, but it's been a struggle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Have you checked out my plot your novel series? You can look through my playlists and see if that helps! I also have a series on how to write scenes that might be helpful.

I'm intrigued by the sensory boxes! Did you make them yourself? I'm a pre-school teacher and we had something quite similar. One box was for mixing liquids like oil and water and see what happens. The other one was for playing with fire. So the kids could light matches and candles and experiment with fire while an adult was always sitting next to them. Fire-prevention is so important :) I've never seen sensory boxes like in this video though. Curious to find out more :) Congratulations on losing so much weight! :D :D :D Sending you love and creative vibes

Yes!!! It's a big mindset shift, but if you can get there, it's really helpful for those of us who are hard on ourselves!

So nice and helpful even for us non-writers. Love your energy and positivity ❤ thanks for these videos
So glad you enjoyed it!
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2020. You will feel so much better using your cpap. It does take time to adjust. But it’s worth it!!

Mine are 15 x 32. Custom order from ArtToFrames
What are those boards ... ??.
