Same with areas of high drug use. I'm from Chicago and know about a dozen folks with HIV including my stepbrother. In a small city where my wife is from, we don't know anybody who's caught untreatable STDs.
Long story short: A guy helped her after she was assaulted by another man on the street. Turns out the guy who helped her was a psychopathic, narcissistic liar with HIV, and they entered into a relationship. He hid it from her and infected her. Very sad.

I watched my friend die from Aids by way of HIV . She and I were close but never culminated anything intimate . She had an abusive, cheating a hole of a bf . Friends/family mistreated her . I'd still take her out to eat , take her on dates, she spent her last Christmas with me and her 2 young sons. I was working at the hospital that day. I saw her in ICU, prayed with her. Tubes everywhere, ventilation devices , I placed an angel pendant in her hand. She got to see me and I told her it would be ok . I went down stairs and heard code blue like 30 minutes later. Broke my heart. She was a model, 1 semester from her master's degree , about to finish her music album , manager at a restaurant and had plans to open her boutique . I miss her . 😢 . I'm so glad that this platform is being used to help anyone heal, vent, take a 2nd chance at life. You are all in my prayers and my heart . Nothing is Impossible!! 1 Love ❤

I agree that being married can help lower your chances of getting something but at the end of the day nothing is 100%. I know folks that were married and unfortunately their spouse brought something home to them. So at the end of the day all we can do is protect ourselves as best as possible and hope our partner care enough about you and themselves to do the right thing. It’s a crazy world we live in.

I'm so sorry that you're going through what you're going through. The temptation to feel like I had nothing to live for definitely tried to seduce me, but I didn't allow myself to play with those thoughts. A practice that helped me tremendously was remaining present. I asked myself "am I OK?" "at this moment am I healthy?" "am I safe?" Being that the answer to those questions were yes, It forced my nervous system to regulate and remember that I'm more than my diagnosis. A book that helped me during this process and that I recommend is A return to love by Marianne Williamson. But honestly, you should go to God because God knows exactly what you feel and desperately wants to help you in this process. You are so loved.🤍
I'm trying to figure out why he wasn't undetectable he literally was suicidal and we are too when we decide to believe these fools. I have a crazy story about a two-year relationship I had with an hiv positive Narc. When I tell you I was the biggest dummy honey, I found out through a prick I paid for, found out didn't leave his ass got pregnant twice and attempted to add him to my insurance. Man, he was undetectable but my God, if he wasn't, he surely wasn't gonna tell me. I had to do everything by forcing him to do it with me. I was deadass in love. Try and forgive whoever caused your trauma if you have not done so already, it will help free you as well don't allow them to continue controlling your life by being angry and depressed. Pharmacist here, clindamycin for yeast? What clinic was she going to? I think he gave her more than HIV and that's what the clindamycin was for. I thought I was the only one that picked up on that.

Gratitude for sharing. I stopped drinking on 8/18/2013. I made some terrible decisions while under the influence of Alcohol and I had to change my life. Ive been abstaining from other vices as well. I still get tested even though Im not active. And will remain inactive unless the higher power blesses me wih a wife.

I'm so sorry that you're going through what you're going through. The temptation to feel like I had nothing to live for definitely tried to seduce me, but I didn't allow myself to play with those thoughts. A practice that helped me tremendously was remaining present.
I asked myself "am I OK?" "at this moment am I healthy?"
"am I safe?"
Being that the answer to those questions were yes, It forced my nervous system to regulate and remember that I'm more than my diagnosis.
A book that helped me during this process and that I recommend is A return to love by Marianne Williamson. But honestly, you should go to God because God knows exactly what you feel and desperately wants to help you in this process. You are so loved.🤍

I'm trying to figure out why he wasn't undetectable he literally was suicidal and we are too when we decide to believe these fools. I have a crazy story about a two-year relationship I had with an hiv positive Narc. When I tell you I was the biggest dummy honey, I found out through a prick I paid for, found out didn't leave his ass got pregnant twice and attempted to add him to my insurance. Man, he was undetectable but my God, if he wasn't, he surely wasn't gonna tell me. I had to do everything by forcing him to do it with me. I was deadass in love. I have male friends that told me directly about a girl they were dating and said "I know she don't have a disease, she's well put together and I can tell she takes care of herself". Many people do not expect someone that society view as beautiful to be walking around HIV positive and many people take chances and have raw sex due to attraction.
