For some out of the loop, there's a recent comic book called "The Joker Presents - A Puzzlebox". I haven't read the whole story yet but the tagline is "Who killed the Riddler?". In that very story it's surmised that Joker killed him, hence the "Puzzlebox" and Joker using his gimmick. I'd imagine this may have been a nod to that story. It seems a lot of people here in the comment section must be unaware of this story given the sentiment I've seen. Nevertheless, for those unaware, that's probably the inspiration/nod/reference.
They should definitely make a Riddler-themed one, that would make a lot of sense, with it being puzzles and all :) overall, really neat puzzle! *edit* lol looks like they just made one yay!

I looked at this creators other videos and it looks like he's using the same phone with the same case in an earlier video. I'm pretty sure he is the creator of the puzzle and it's just to promote the AR Batman game at the website listed at the end. He says there's strawberries in the cake, you can't just ship strawberries unrefrigerated in a puzzle box. And how did the phone know when to start ringing? How would a puzzle box maker ensure that the phone was still charged and on when the puzzle was solved. Why is there no link to the puzzle box? It's all a setup. A cool setup, but a setup nonetheless.
He makes it look so easy, cause he does so many puzzles lol the drawer label with shapes and converting it to letters then using Corresponding numbers to those letters and then figuring out the clicks was freaking incredible to me (who doesn’t do puzzles) and me knowing I’d never get past that part. lol
The thing is I was figuring things out before he got to them I grew up a puzzle head and haven’t tapped in since Mabey before my teenage years but it’s all in the head
People in the comments saying it should’ve been a riddler theme, I’d have to disagree. Riddler uses more of riddles and question based puzzles, while joker is more of a numbers, get straight to the point type of puzzle. Although they should’ve added more jokes, gags, and time based puzzles for joker. Kinda Like your always under pressure to solve it. But it’s still such a great puzzle. Got a free cake and phone out of it :)

Odd... This is FAR more of The Riddler's style: The Joker uses simplified materials and gimmicks. He's a brilliant chemical engineer, after all. He makes all his toys out of basic materials. And you don't see his good gags coming. Still, this is a pretty wicked idea! Personally,y i would have just used bolt cutters... And Arkham Asylum is quasi-famous for Taco Tuesday. If I may offer a suggestion: when you're peering into holes, etc., we can't see anything, and it's just confusing (especially the go-pro view... blurry close-ups of the box are not fun). It might be worth investing in an endoscope/borehole camera. They're quite cheap, and plug into your phone. A little camera on a cable designed for small holes, would let us see what you are seeing. @@Chaos42666 You can't change my mind on this one. Yes, the Riddler's forte is indeed puzzles and that's why he's the Riddler but the box was said to be from Joker, the person on the tapes laughs like Joker and the letter says Joker so it all points to Joker. I really love the design of the puzzle and I could really see the Joker actually doing this but the voice just ruins the illusion for me. I hear it and I think about Riddler when I should be thinking about Joker. The Joker I'm used to hearing has a bit of a deep voice and a little bit raspy, also his laugh is more sinister and freeing(if that makes sense) while the voice I heard was high pitch, the laugh was a bit high pitch too and more of a naughty laugh than a crazy and sinister laugh. It also sounded rehearsed like how the Riddler woud speak whenever he's about to give out his performance. I heard different voice actors from cartoons and seen actors in movies portray Joker and all of them, though they may all have their own version of Joker, seems to be following that kind of voice that I mentioned above that I said I was used to. It's like when you hear it you know it's joker. Plus a box like this would be more up riddler's alley. Some people apparently think this is riddler posing as joker??? No. The Creator meant it to be joker, it's joker. Just- takes me out of it a little because it kind feels out of place. Love the video and Chris, just wish it was a riddler puzzle

Well, yes. We have hundreds of VHS tapes. Rewinding in a VCR CAN cause the tape to break eventually, as there's 1/2 dozen or more rods and heads in contact with the tape. A dedicated rewinder not all only frees up your VCR for other use, it doesn't have to open the tape cover at all, just the spindle, which is much less strain on the tape.

Kinda missed the mark for me using Joker instead of Riddler but it's really really cool and seems to be incredibly well built and thought out nonetheless.
Great puzzle ! But in reality this would have worked best as a Riddler puzzle. The Joker is more about the mayhem than wasting time on elaborate puzzles. NGL The puzzle was fantastic!
Joker is just the kind of person to take a phone, bake it into a cake, put that cake in a box with a VHS player, a locked cassette tape, a Batman mask, two coded pieces of paper, and put all that into a stolen Arkham Asylum filing cabinet, chain it shut, and send with a bunch of clues as to how to open it, to a RUclipsr, just to announce to millions of people that something big is coming.
Damn this was an amazing puzzle and a fantastic video. I went into the site and checked all the HTML code and found this in the head description of the page: "A mixed-reality portal to adventure that brings stories to life, merging real world play with mobile augmented reality (AR) for a unique immersive experience." sounds pretty cool and waiting to see how they'll implement a batman mobile AR game, going to check soon if there is anything hidden in the pictures etc. and I'll update this comment if I find anything, hope you're having a nice day!

That was one of the best puzzles I’ve seen in ages, was so good to watch
Hey Chris, I hope this comment finds you and if it does would you pretty, please do another reacting to cardistry video? Those were always my favorite and I have gone back and watched them a ton. If you no longer enjoy doing those then don't bother just keep doing what you love! No matter what I'll always be your loyal subscriber and supporter.
Aww...I shed a tear on that one frfr
Same! I hope he brings them back
didn’t know “slayyyy!” was in the joker’s vocabulary.
Absolutely LOVE THIS!! And y’all saying it’s easy - - I woulda been crying within the first 4 minutes from frustration 🤣🤣🤣
You have the best videos to fall asleep to, it’s super chill but with a task involved and your great at what you do
That thumbnail is sick.
Chris: These, for my young audience, is a relic....🤣
Kinda missed the mark for me using Joker instead of Riddler but it's really really cool and seems to be incredibly well built and thought out nonetheless.
probably cuz the promo is joker related
This is probably my favorite you have solved! I loved it.
I don't remember sending this, Batsy must be having a laugh on my behalf
Couldn't wait for this one to be solved. What a great job. I would have been stuck for days. You are grisly the king of puzzles!
Great puzzle ! But in reality this would have worked best as a Riddler puzzle.
The Joker is more about the mayhem than wasting time on elaborate puzzles.
NGL The puzzle was fantastic!
@Latest Obsession yup you're right!
IMHO it felt more like Riddler's doing, but
I guess it needed more riddles.
this is my favourite video by you so far and I love how the viewers get to join in at the end.
Amazing video, I loved it, keep up the great work
I hope there is a super old fajita in the box😂
Another great video and another great project🤙 keep up the good work
Oh man...my anxiety when you set that cassette beside that magnet.
Wear a gasmask. Just in case. You know how he is.
One of the coolest puzzles ive ever seen. They have to make a riddler one!
Oh My Gosh, That would be totally 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I would of loved to see how the lock-picking lawyer would of handle this situation. 🧐
I agree
I guess you missed the sign on his back huh? Might wanna go re-visit the page and see what I mean.
One of my favorite puzzles so far. Nice and fun with a little bit of darkness of the joker.
This is one of the best puzzles I have seen you do! Very well constructed!!
Half expected the cake to explode when the call ended!
15:24 With the chains off, you can clearly see a large “J” shape on top of the box, ending at the hole. The whole time I was thinking: does it mean trace the J with the magnet lock? 😄
Really awesome puzzle.
