No One in the last 40 years have come close to the power & clarity musically of these Legendary people.. Trio Los Panchos & Eydie Gorme... Oh My God,, BEAUTIFUL...
Thanks for upload.
Have you seen the video her son David made of Sabor A Mi? Her husband Steve plays the part of the bartender. It would be Steve's last role before he succumbed to the ravages of alzheimers.
I love Edyie ! She had such an amazing and beautiful voice. Steve and Eydie are my favorite couple in show biz. Extraordinarily talented, both handsome and beautiful. Gosh, I really missed REAL talent unlike the garbage rap music and other crap music. I sur miss Ed. He had the best acts in the world performed on his show. God bless them all.
She definitely made a mark of excellence of the golden years with her unfiltered voice of perfection! Love the resilience and effort combined to present herself in her videos! Hope soon another woman could follow her path!
"Music to soothe the savage breast, soften rocks and bend the knotted oak." William Congreve "Music so beautiful, powerful and profound that it could create a soul under the ribs of death!" John Milton With her great octave range, insuperible beauty of tone (singing mostly in contralto and mid-range) and equally impressive in delicate romantic ballads as well as powerful/dramatic "show-stoppers", it's impossible to rate her beneath any of the great female vocalists; she took a back seat to NOBODY.💎🙏💎
Eydie's first language was Spanish - the language spoken in her home while she was up growing up in New York City. One of her first jobs was working as an English/Spanish translator for the United Nations in her home town. I have said on many other sites that Eydie Gorme held her own with Garland and Streisand.
Mostly all actors and singers at that time from how my parents remember a lot of show biz were Jewish but changed their names to mostly Irish sir names or of other origins due to people hating Jews. During that time that's when a lot of Puerto Ricans were just moving to America in the 1960s especially in parts of NY boroughs which people at that time weren't very happy about. Yes this was a beautiful song but not many people on that time weren't happy about it.
@goffredo29 I have known that since my grandfather worked in the garment center in NYC in 1950's. I am 82 now. Love all her songs especially in Spanish!
Exactly what I feel. Eydie in the 60's, Vikki Carr in the 70's and Linda Ronstadt in the 80's... Beautiful, classy ladies with Latino roots and huge talent.
her work with Los Panchos was the best part of her career.
I agree ! Great voice and the music is superb !

Completely agree!! The songs she made in Spanish with Los Panchos are classics that I still hear to this day!!

The lady had a beautiful voice. Now, this is music, not the noice filled with hate and vulgarity that people listen to nowadays
Few know that Eydie Gorme was a Sephardic Jew and fluent in Spanish.

The mexican beatles with Goyrme.
A forerunner to Linda Ronstadt’s work with Mexican traditional music.
Exactly what I feel.
Eydie in the 60's, Vikki Carr in the 70's and Linda Ronstadt in the 80's...
Beautiful, classy ladies with Latino roots and huge talent.
Super Eydie and Panchos. Where did all the echo come from?
I have both of those Latin albums and you need to hear them. Better than this.
Hello Steve.
It's called reverberation, but I considered it to be perfectly executed, and loved it.
Respectfully
That theater had an echo for years even after David Letterman took over. Stephen Colbert had some work done on the ceiling to alleviate the issue.
Edite tenia Una Voz Bien linda
As Guillermo commented, this tune is 'Make Someone Happy'. Duchin had a hit with 'Fly Me To The Moon' but this ain't it.
That is because you never herd los tres reyes!
