- Visiting the Rhine falls (Rheinfall), one of the three largest waterfalls in Europe is an absolute must when visiting Switzerland. Located just south of the Border to Germany, the waterfall is located at the border of Schaffhausen and Zürich. This waterfall in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, should be at the top of your list when visiting Switzerland.
Rhine fall boat rides are almost a must during this experience. Standing on the rock in the middle of the rhine falls is the best way to experience the full power of the rhine fall.
Boat ride tickets can be baught on both sides of the river and cruises to the rock are 20 CHF a person, including transfers across the river.
A short boat tour not stopping at the rock is 8 CHF.
We recommend visiting in cloudy weather in the morning, to make the most out of your stay on the rock.
Entrace to the viewing platforms next to castle Laufen (Schloss Laufen) are 5 CHF a person. Parking is available on both sides of the river, as are train connections.
Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall and Neuhausen am Rheinfall are the destination stations to reach the waterfall. Reaching the rhine falls from Zurich, you will have the choice between both stations.
If you don't want to pay for the crossing by boat, you can also walk between the two sides of the river, crossing over the train bridge. The bridge also offers a unique view from the upper end of the rhine falls.
The rhine falls in winter will carry a lot less whater than the rhine falls carry in summer.

Thank you 😊
Wow amazing sharing my friend 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 😊
Now that was stunning. What an amazing experience regardless of whether one goes by boat or walk across the rail bridge. Wow. Thank you for this- something else to put on my wish list. HAve a wonderful week, greetings from New Zealand. 😎👌🙋♀🇳🇿🥝
The falls have not been on our radar for a while, but now we almost bring every guest. It's such an impressive sight. Hopefully you will get to many places from your wishlist 😊
Wow beautiful waterfall! a lot of options to check it out. Beautiful drone shots😍
Thank you. Sadly it is getting harder and harder to use drones at beautiful locations, but they offer such incredible perspectives and images.
We where here together 😁😁🤩
Yes. But I hear you didn't visit the rock? We have to change that 😄
@@HikeForHappiness agree 🤗😆
That was stunning! The falls are so impressive, quite the place. Can’t say I’ve heard of it before but looks like it should be a movie location. Love the arches on the bridge too and the viewpoints are all stunning. Loved the drone footage it really shows off this place. Thundering waters indeed I bet you can feel the water when your stood close to the falls.
Thank you 😊. The place is really amazing. When I look at the water, it will make me feel dizzy in seconds. It is just so unreal to see how much water is flowing down this waterfall.
Sehr schöne Aufnahmen und toll erklärt 👌
Danke. Steht der auch auf eurer Liste für den Urlaub?
Hi, sehr beeindruckend, klasse Aufnahmen. Sind beeindruckt. Danke und eine schöne Woche. LG Alex und Alex
Danke euch beiden.
Amazing! I guess we are used to seeing the Rhine with large barges and tourist boats travelling along its lower sections and don't associate this with the river. I've seen one previous of these falls but yours is really well filmed. Really enjoyed watching and thanks for sharing.
It also was never on our radar until we moved to Switzerland. I studied next to the Rhine for a long while, but never thought about this place. Now we end up showing it to more or less everyone that comes to visit. Thank you for watching.
