Pushnet fishing really takes me back to my childhood here on the Suffolk coast. Every summer we spent days net fishing for crabs and push net fishing for shrimps.
Push nets are really easy to make as you can see by my design and when conditions are good you can really have a huge hall of what I think is the best tasting crustacean here in the North sea.
Personally I think the good old brown shrimp has a better taste than Lobster! What do you think?

Like the use of the old military trangia.I have used and abused one of these cookers for years while beach fishing.Yes they are slow but get the job done.Bit on the heavy side but reliable.Nice to see one in use not seen one one the beaches before.I thought I was the only one😂

Brown Shrimps are the best seafood. I've also made a push net from an age old Suffolk design. I think, maybe your net needs to be deeper. Thats what I was led to believe. Anyway, how long did you boil them for? Cheers
When conditions are good the net works fine. I only drop them in boiling water for a couple of minutes
