I went to some random junior mx training sessions for a couple years. The thing they said the most was that always accelerate before you sit. Go fast enough so you are still on brakes at 50% of the corner, don't roll free at all but instantly apply throttle as much is good for you (one steady acceleration, don't twist!) and after that you can sit down if needed. But never sit down if you are not accelerating
You gotta because when you sit you're compressing the front suspension, pretty much slowing the front end down which can lead to extra lean etc and the throttle helps keep the bike wanting to stay upright and distribute the weight from the front to the rear.
I dont get the hate on the electric bikes its just easy plug and play type of thing if you got a nice yard Its the same thing as having a really nice 22 to go plinking😊

I am 40. I get about 2.5 hours of riding per 100% charge. I go out on track 10min to 16min. Also, in 60hp or more, no bike can keep up.. Holeshots-R-Us.

Just was at budds and hunter stands in odd places. The track was choppy but he would just stand around corners to miss the holes. Chase doesn’t care he will just hammer through

The more important part is that you apply throttle with one steady hand turn and sit after that. Never sit before you're on the throttle, it becomes a bad habit and makes turning unstable. And don't roll free. One late braking, at the 50% release brakes (yeah, you are supposed to still brake in the corner) and immediately apply throttle
This strengthens my argument. If athleticism is a combination of talent, fitness, and boldness (i.e. balls), professional motocross riders are the most athletic people in the world.
Electric is the only way the sport is gonna survive with all the greta thumbergs around. Can't forget that the reduced noise will allow for more tracks to stay open when houses get built near them. My local track growing up was shut down because of excessive noise. Would have loved electric bikes 20 years ago so it could have stayed open

If you’re doing a one hand drill, the day of you should be riding a gas powered bike. Crazy to be teaching kids and using different equipment than them. Especially if it’s making it easier for you!
The starks so good it helps teach. Its quite so he can speak during the ride, you can hear the accel. All the same demos were done on a gas bike previously
