So I think the Mama nickname is due to the fact the character literally would not be who they are if the designer hadn’t illustrated and designed them. It’s a form of their own creativity being brought to life!

Inner color is when only one part, usually the inner layer/part of the hair is dyed (therefore “inner color” - search up インナーカラー on google images or Instagram for more examples). As well as Mayuzumi, the illustration of his mama in the video shows this style well (accent pink dye in the inner layer, while outer layer is a more neutral or “natural” hair color)
