Great tour. Couldn't understand why an aircraft builder would still be using wood ribs but after your demonstration it totally makes sense. The ribs twist, deflect but they don't deform or break!

Totally awesome tour! USA made is a huge deal. Like seeing the clean and organized buildings throughout the facility! Good indicator of wonderful craftsmanship and attention to building excellent aircraft! My son and I have one goal in mind right now and that is to be flying a couple of Kitfoxes real soon. Working hard to make the dream a reality. Thank again for your dedication to the incredible world of aviation

Nice factory tour your shop looks so sharp & tidy. We are locked up in New Zealand for 4 weeks at present untill further notice. We are able to go out for a walk during the day as long as we stay at least 2 meters apart .
My kitfox 4 is in a hangar 4 hours drive away so not sure when I will be able to fly again , best wishes to everyone where ever you may be.

What a solid American company. I appreciate keeping as much of the materials, parts, and assembly here in America. You could make more money going to Mexico like Bearhawk does. Integrity makes your bed so much more restful.

That was AWESOME, THANK YOU John for the tour.
As a business owner myself I can see you obviously have a PASSION for what you do. As well, your knowledge and concern for attention to detail is refreshing. Im sure both are reassuring to current owners and to prospective future customers.
Oh ya, NICE to see such a well organized and clean shop. Just adds another level of professionalism to the Kitfox brand name.
If I didn't own an Avid Magnum sn 04M I WOULDN'T hesitate to purchase one of your kits.
My Magnum is one of two magnums that were owned by the Avid factory and were used as demonstrators. My Magnum is set up in a tricycle configuration but it can easily be converted to a tail dragger.
I also own (in kit form) an Airdale Backcountry s/n 007. The previous owner of this kit was John Larsen. From my research I understand he had a hand in the development of the Avid Mark IV, the Magnum and was the principal designer of the Airdale.
Again, a big THANK YOU for that AMAZING tour of KITFOX.
    Two thumbs up.👍😊👍

I am so impressed by the layout of your shops and with how tidy and clean they are. Should I ever be fortunate enough to be in a position to afford one of your airplanes I will come and see you in person.

After the pleasure of a factory visit last October with my wife - along with the equally/highly-recommendable visit to Stick & Rudder, this was fantastic recap enjoyed by us both, with LOTS of nice details added - the kind of things difficult to show when a factory is running normally, or the things you only think to ask about after a visit has soaked in. Great to see your passion, pride and detailed product knowledge shine through John; it only further strengthens our belief in you, the team and the product. Many thanks and good health to everyone at Kitfox Aircraft! :)

Thanks for the video. This is very informative, I am very impressed. I fly out of Caldwell, Idaho. I flew Weight Shift control for 12 years. I just bought a Quicksilver GT500 and am learning fixed wing flying. My next airplane will be a STOL. I had been looking at Kitfox, Highlander and Zenith. I have a question, how do you compare forward visibility between a Kitfox and Highlander? In your opinion for an undecided buyer what differentiates a Kitfox from a Highlander? Thanks.

I have loved the KitFox airplanes since I first saw them back in the 1980's. It was heartbreaking when the original company had problems and went under...and then along came John. What you have done for this beloved, little airplane is magnificent! Seeing at your operations there (thanks so much for the great tour!) and seeing the twinkle in your eyes and hearing the pride in your voice as you describe your operations, employees, tooling, etc., it is very apparent how you feel about KitFox Aircraft. And it just keeps on getting better. Have you been inducted into the EAA Sport Aviation Hall of Fame yet? If not, you will be soon! Take care/fly safe/live long!

Thanks for the tour , as a ER nurse it is nice to get our minds totally off work during this time when we are not at work. I am surprised just how light the fusalage is. What thickness tubing do you use to achieve that and still get strength? I would have thought the fusalage would have had more of the total weight.
