I'm so glad you did this song, Noga is so talented! The music feels to me like a Tarantino movie. This song hits very differently if you listen from an Israeli perspective. To me, it talks about the sense of betrayal we all felt from the world after October 7th and the complicated relationship we have with the West. The part about the desert and the snow is about many of us coming from mixed families of Middle Eastern (Desert) and European (snow) descent. When they yell at us to go back to where we came from we are everywhere because we have nowhere else to go.
The part in the song where she says "Mommy from the desert, daddy from the snow, and I'm everywhere cause I got nowhere to go" This is the melody of a Jewish prayer called "Shalom Aleichem" They sing about the pain of the Jews, and of Israel and the love and connection we thought we had to the West, and after October 7 they all turned their backs on us. "Mommy from the desert , daddy from the snow, we are everywhere because we got nowhere to go" - this is the story of all Israel
Hi, great reaction😊 I can help with the lyrics, Noga and Eden are from israel. This song is like a love/ hurt/ mad letter to some parts of the usa and the west, about turning their back to israrl and the jews when we were at their lowest point, when israel "loved them all along"...there are references for jews having no home but israel, references to the protests against israel in campuses, tearing down posters of hostages and stuff like that...not an easy song but a great one❤🎗️🎗️🎗️
They are both Israeli singers. They're talking about Israel being left alone to deal with terror - Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Militias etc. - all sponsored by Iran. "They tear up faces in campuses, burn the flag, and I'm torn" - about the pro-Palestinian protests at Universities in the US, tearing the posters of Israeli hostages, burning the Israeli flag (and the American flag as well). "And when you come back knocking on my door, you'll be the one to beg and I will say, "I told you so"" - Pretty clear what that means, I think.
This is a song about the maltreatment of jews untill and since the 7th of October. Now listen qgain. You will get it. Musically, there is a reference to a song that we sing qt Shabat dinner, thete is a reference to one of the most famouse mizrachi singers that lived, in Israel. There are lots of musical refetences hete. The orenges at the begining are a simbol of the hostages (the mother and two kids that are still in Gaza are redheaded) and were forgotten.
I love music and good voices from all over the world and this is no different, credit where credits due 👏🎧🎶 This is an amazing song. However.....if this song is referring to israel, as some of the comments suggest then I couldn't disagree more with the lyrics ...because I don't hold the same opinions .....I am pro-palestinian , anti-apartheid and anti-zionist who believes in humanity and not genocide....Israel has always been given the luxury of impunity by others and while it continues its war crimes against Palestine and Lebanon, it will only ever be a pariah state Free Palestine 🇵🇸 and Lebanon 🇱🇧 And end the illegal occupation NOW!
....one would think that Israel attacked Hamas on Oct 7th 23 and attacked Hizbollah on Oct 8th 23....." Free Palestine - from Hamas, and Free Lebanon - from Hizbollah" !!! Israel has not committed any Genocide, but you are either too brainwashed or ill-informed to admit this. I strongly recommend that you do some serious research into the actual facts of this conflict....
One would think from your post that Israel attacked Hamas on Oct 7th 23, and Hizbollah on Oct 8th 23 … - Israel is not committing any genocide in Gaza and there is Apartheid only in Gaza and the PA territories. Unfortunately you are either brainwashed or ill-informed or both. I honestly advise that you do some unbiased, serious research into this conflict - you may be unpleasantly surprised at the results. “Free Palestine - from Hamas, and Free Lebanon - from Hizbollah” You’d be amazed at how many citizens in these two states agree with this!
@mikemiller60mm You are truly delusional if you believe that. I have plenty of knowledge based on facts from people on both sides, however you and all zionists seem to have amnesia about the last 76 years but focus on October 7th....such is the indoctrination and blind ignorance of arrogant propaganda spouted in israel apartheid pariah state. Illegal occupation is the root of this and needs to end immediately! Free Palestine 🇵🇸Free Lebanon 🇱🇧

Feel like Quentin Tarantino's music and theme
