Motörhead was magic - they always remained cool and were 100% rock n roll, and at the same time, they were timeless. Totally unharmed by trends and BS.
To my best teen friends Kieth and Fred, the best guitarists and all around mates a guy could have: we rocked the sh!t out of this group. Never forgotten, never stopped rockin'!
Surely one of Motörhead's finest and most powerful albums...and most definitely one their most timeless works - you can't time stamp this with the year 1986, they could have made this in 1996 or 2006 just as well! 👊💀🚂🔥

Most of their cover art is awesome. 1916 I like as well. Least favorite is Snake bite love. I nailed it on the wall at the time, for the cover art, that was decent as usual lol
@@moe17moe I'd concur with Snake Bite Love, a handful of good tracks on it, Dead and Gone, Don't Lie to Me, and Love for Sale is fine. Bastards is a HELL an album. Sacrifice and Inferno are up there for me, personally. Year of the Wolf, Smiling Like a Killer, Keys to the Kingdom, Sex and Death, In Another Time, Out of the Sun are all bangers for me.

Too many great records and great songs to name one as their best. That's how good this band is. I had a friend that was a powder dealer and she sold some to lemmy at a show backstage. One of her most precious memories was doin blow with lemmy.

Но самое худшее для соседей стало, когда я учился вокалу, как драмтенор. Рок переодически сменялся на отрывки арий самого драматическаго характера из Кармен, Отелло, Паяцы. Бедные соседи, спасибо им за терпение.
I was able to see Motorhead play live twice and listening to Lemmy sing Orgasmatron was the highlight of my concert experiences. I always sound ridiculous trying to sing along with Lemmy but I don't care. I cried for a few days when this legend passed.
I watched the funeral with friends on a movie theatre screen and it was so surreal because I didn't think he COULD die ..but Motörheaven was awaiting his arrival ...and we are forever blessed to have these times. Thank you Lemmy♠️

Nah, it's overrated and nowhere close to Bomber or Ace Od Spades...pretty poor record to be honest and they never got better after it either. The Only real Motorhead line up was Fast Eddie and Philthy Phil

I saw Motorhead in the Liverpool Students Union! People were throwing bottles at them! Lemmy did an amazing speech where he threatened to go off stage - He said - now this is not verbatim but he said something along these lines ' I've been in this business 25 years and If you cant respect that then we will just stop playing! They didn't stop playing and it was one of my best gigs ever!

I reflect on Lemmy being so intent on talking to Ozzie on his deathbed. Shame Ozzie couldn't understand him. Ozzie is an archangel of metal but this guy was the beast.. there was more metal in Lemmy's pencil than Ozzie biting a bat head off on a black Sabbath.. and so much more rock n roll any day of the week.. I guess he wanted to say hi and just connect.. they were great friends of course. The more you listen the more you recognise the genius here.. fuck me he was a monster poet too. Great commentator on everything from the human condition, politics and the art of hedonism. Lemmy was an expression of the intelligent universe through pure, original heavy metal rock n roll. He was fucking great. I know a roadie that hung with him a chunk and the stories are insane! What a character! If I had to come back as a rock star I'd be Lemmy.. but try n squeeze in a few more grapefruits and less Jack to stay around a little longer. The world will never be the same. RIP you crazy brilliant old bastard!
