We found paradise in Chiang Mai Province! We started off our day in Pai where we had the most delicious Yunnanese food at Yun Lai Viewpoint and then drove 130km to one of our favourite areas in Chiang Mai Province called Chiang Dao. We’ve always dreamed of building a tiny home in the middle of a rice field in Thailand so this was our opportunity to test it out! Join us for a chill overnight stay in Chiang Dao.

I lovr seeing your Thailand Videos. Honestly, as a Vietnamese living abroad, i was disappointed by how the tourism in Vietnam is. For the same price or even cheaper price, you get much more better service in Thailand. I would like to visit Thailand again.

I used to complain when I was younger living on our farm. But as I grow old I am starting to appreciate the luxury of private spaces in the province versus the expensive city life. Having this beauty all to yourself. It's just wow...the paddy fields are so pretty,

I feel you guys had been to heaven on Earth. The restaurant is so beautiful and clean , foods look yummy and the love tree is lovely, the views are magnificent. I just love your hut, oh wow for the price and the meals and millions dollars views. 😊😊

Good chilling with ya! Chiang Mai and Pai area is so beautiful! I love it there! Camping on the ground in Thailand makes me a little nervous. I heard of a king cobra getting in a tent and biting a person. The food look so delicious. Great video. I always enjoy them!
It is very difficult to see a cobra in the Northern of Thailand. I've been living in the northern countryside since I was a kid, but I've never seen one. Most of them found only normal snakes that were not poisonous, but in the central region there are cobra everywhere especially in the rice field. Also the Southern part is well knows as home of King cobra and you will almost 0% never see them in the other part.

Staying at the beach is nice during the day for the view, for a better night sleep staying in a rice field for sure.
I've stayed here before and had the most wonderful time! The food that the property owners prepared was delicious and I loved the local coffee, tranquil settings and the sounds of nature at night. So glad you both enjoyed!

The black chicken is called Silkie Chicken! They're super fluffy and cute, kinda sad to eat but theyre known to be healthy. Used in a ton of chinese herbal dishes for health benefits

I got to be honest, I won't be heading to North Thailand yet on my upcoming trip. But you've added more on my to do list when i do decide to explore northern Thailand lol.
Question, are there a lot of bugs at the rice field? I heard that the insects makes a lot of noise at night and crickets and Frogs?
I think i would still prefer staying on a beachfront lol. That's just my opinion.

So I don’t know exactly when I will get to visit Thailand, but I know that it is my first destination when my life goes back to normal. I really appreciate the work you guys put into your videos. Very much enjoying your videos. I’m staying with my husband in Hua Hin for 4 months,as we live in Germany and need to escape the cold, wet dark winters. . My husband is 63 and I am 65, so we travel quite differently than you two, probably needing more comfort and not such remote locations. But its fun to see where you two get to in Thailand. The last video from your trip to Pai was very moving, seeing Note re-connect with his childhood home and tell the story of his background. But traveling there on a sidecar…..jeez that was an adventure I never want to have to have anymore😆 Your remote rental room in the middle of the rice field was romantic and charming, again, I can enjoy it vicariously without having to do without my creature comforts…air con, being able to jump in our pool when I heat up too much, etc. But I love the armchair traveling i can do watching your videos; they take me back to younger years when my needs were simpler and my husband and i would embark on similar adventures. So thank you for sharing yours with us!😊

We also seek comforts so that's why we are based in Koh Samui. We love going back there after each trip to relax and chill at home. Life is all about balance!

You can always join a Chiang Mai Facebook group too if you want to ask about places to rent. When we lived there, we used Perfect Homes to find a condo 😊 hope this helps
