I love you dont need to pay the extra for sidemounting just to make it sturdy and not have flex. That base is ridiculously sturdy.
This is hands down the best cockpit for the price. The best. Even if only 100 less then some others near it with the seat. Its still better and a little less for this quality. For sure!!
What is meant by his statement at the end about putting "shims" underneath so the seat can tilt back and better support his legs? As someone considering this rig, I'd like to better understand what that means and how it can be done. Thanks!
It's not just this rig that has this issue, it's mostly all profile rigs when mounting a seat that attaches from underneath such as most reclining seats. You can buy seat mount spacers to raise the front if needed to better support your leg angle. Side mounted seats use side mount brackets that have an angle adjustment so that isn't an issue for those.
@IvebenKruzen thanks so much! Brand new to all this and looking to build my first. So if the seat is not side mounted, will it most likely have those adjustment devices available for sale (or are they universal). Appreciate your time :)
Looking at this to replace my playseat evolution the center bar drives me nuts and makes it uncomfortable after long runs
I bought the GT Elite, which is basically the same. The seat I chose was the ES1 bucket, and I'm VERY happy with it. The GT Elite Lite's GT style is perfectly matched, but the ES1 is a little more expensive than the reclining models.
But if you are interested in rigidity, the ES1 is worth considering. IMO, the best seat that NLR have. Will from Boosted Media agrees.
Awesome review. U can send it to my house lol.
As an owner of a fgt elite I can tell you you forgot the main negative part. The dd base pillars are way too high. If you mount the monitor close to you as you should, the pillars are hiding a bit of the screen. Also, although I understand your point about the budget, it's still pretty expensive compare to other options with more features for not much more bucks
The uprights being too tall and in the way of a monitor is my biggest worry. My young nephew visits and wants to drive occasionally. I’m concerned about the uprights blocking his view. And mine as well
Hi, I currently own a Omega GT Art, would the RS6 seat fit in this cockpit?
Would a setup like this, GT elite lite and R12 be overkill to play only on Xbox?
Nice review! Personally, I don't like the Aluminum profile rig from Next level Racing for one major reason. The 2 vertical post are always way too tall and angle at you. I looked at all the pictures and reviews online and it's always the same thing. These are like 4-6 inches taller then other companies like ASR & GT Omega. I like my tv/monitor screen to be lower and not far behind the wheelbase so that my steering wheel fit perfectly with the cockpit view in the game. With this rig, the 2 vertical post are really in your Field of View.
Those are good points
@@tdmdchannel2339 Thankyou for your comments. Just to give some feedback here on our design decisions. The reason for the slant verticals isn’t just aesthetics, it makes it much easier to get in and out of the cockpit giving more room for your legs. The higher uprights are so you can do truck, tank, formula position that all require the wheel to be higher. You can’t do for example formula in a correct position without that wheel deck height. You don’t require a higher wheel position with our NLR cockpits that have seat brackets you can easily offset this by having your seat higher and therefore your wheelbase higher. I will still pass your feedback on to our design team for a cockpit with straight and lower uprights for those that prefer that.
@@NextLevelRacing Hi. It's a good thing it gives you more room to get in or out but seriously, I never had any problem for that with a straight post. I have friends that are quite big (260 lbs) or tall (6'3) but none have an issue getting in or out of my rig either. For the point of view, it's definitely a cons to have them that tall and towards you. But again, that's my opinion like many others. Some might prefer that but it's definitely not for me. But I really like your ERS 3 seat. Much more solid and comfortable than GT Omega recliner seat (RS9). I prefer recliner seat over bucket seat. It's the other way around for others! lol! I have a video of my rig on my channel, we love it but it's definitely not for everyone! Thanks
Does this work with asetek?
So i can buy any bucket seat and mount it to this?
yes
for less than 1k that rig looks bang on point, if I didnt already have a rig I would get this for sure.
The price seems ridiculous for a couple of alu profile bars tbh. It's 600 euros here while the simlab GT evo is 400.
Buyer beware: I have the F-GT Elite Lite and agree that it is great. The ERS2 seat that I purchased with the rig broke the first day I used it. I returned the seat and have been waiting for a refund for over 2 months now. Next Level Racing has terrible customer service!!
Questo o il gt track secondo voi?
im sold on this rig.. thanks shaun.. great review
Next Level Racing have such a bad sales channels in Sweden, This rig is 810 USD. Trak Racer TR80 Lite and Simlab GT1 Evo is 500-520 USD.
How many days did it take you to clean up all those white styrofoam balls? Just when you think you got them all... bang there's more the next day. Open cell foam would be a better choice but I guess it's a cost savings and you only have to deal with it once. 😃
laser etched logos are a bug at best, and certainly not a feature. They bring absolutely nothing to the comfort or functionality. They only serve as advertising that you're paying to be put on there.
When i got it years ago there was only the high end elite model for $999 and im pretty happy with it but if this $499 option was available i probably would have saved the $500 seems good enough to me.
I love it , great sim racing profile chasse . Nice review Shaun , you did it again 😃
Great review. Will definitely take a look when I’m in the market for a profile rig later in the year. I really like to seat too.
The only reason this rig seems "affordable" is because it doesn't come with a monitor or shifter mount. After adding those two important bits, it doesn't seem like such a great value.
Comes with a shiftermount as standard.....
yeah considering the mount is like 250😂
Would you say the gt omega prime lite is better value?
This was a great review! I have purchased a Fanatec DD Extreme wheel and was looking for a mid range rig that could support the 15 NM of torque that the wheel can put out. I think this rig will handle that. I really like the pedals you are using, what brand and type are they?
Did you end up getting this rig? how did it go with 15NM?
Hello Shaun. You did a review on the seat for this rig prior to this one. And it made me look into the seat as well as the rig and I purchased them both for the exact price that you mentioned. Which I also think is a pretty good price. Haven't put it together yet as I have to make room for it but looking forward to using it. I have been using a wheel stand and old dining room chair and was looking for a rig, but price was the hold up. And this fit what I was looking for. I appreciate the info. And nice shoes BTW.
This is a great budget seat. It is not a rigid as my junkyard seat, but that seat would cost closer to $400. Also my junkyard seat has bennt one way over the years from teh single support side.
Thanks, have you used or even reviewed the FGT elite LITE? Do you sacrifice anything with the formula option?
This is the Lite version
@@MarkNOTWbut not the f-gt elite lite
are the uprights regular profile? I’d like something with shorter uprights to fit under a regular desk (so around 75cm with wheel mounted) - would it be possible replace those?
Sawzall
@@MarkNOTWyou think sawzall would work?
@@brandontriefler475 I was joking. It could work but it would be an ugly mess.
i plan on doing the same, you could take this to a metal shop/machine shop and get them to clean cut you down a few inches, a large band saw or even a mill could do a perfectly clean and straight cut. a sawsal will not cut clean, if that matters to you, you could get creative and 3d print a cover.
Great review! I bought the NLR F-GT Elite Lite a few months ago and love it. When I bought it, I couldn’t find any reviews on their Elite Lite series, so this review fills a much needed void.
I’d recommend this rig to anyone wanting to move into the aluminum profile range of rigs.
Hey shaun. This review is murder ram and gigachad approved. Peace✌️
It's so good lol
Tell me tou got paid without telling me you got paid…
He did not get paid and to be clear we do not pay any reviewers globally. Sean does great and honest reviews and puts his time to make informative reviews for viewers so not nice saying he received payment
@@NextLevelRacing not saying your products are bad, and that you need to pay for people to speak highly off your products, but when its all good and not on single bad point, it just doesn't feel trustworthy. at least he got a discount or the item for free. But its just me opinion.
@@joaoalbuquerque8347 Everyone is entitled to their opinion as you mentioned. It’s really a great cockpit as our customers love it and hope one day you will be a next level racing customer too and can enjoy one of our products! Have a great weekend
