In this video, we show you around the historic Downtown of Bonita Springs between Bonita Beach Rd & Tamiami Trail. The area is full of history and cultural activities. You can easily walk through all the areas of interest from the very top of Old 41 (corner Bonita Beach Rd) down to the Iconic Wonder Gardens, one of the few remaining cornerstones of Old Florida.
We start at Riverside Park as it is the main gathering spot in downtown Bonita Springs on Old 41 and is a popular park for special events, including art shows, cultural events, farmer’s markets, brew fests, movie nights in the park and live music. Go to cityofbonitasprings.org to see all the events taking place at Riverside Park. This area also boasts kayaking trails along the Imperial River, you’re able to go all the way to Bonita Nature Place from Downtown Bonita Springs with your own kayak or you can hire one from CGT Kayaks Inc, found at 27300 Old 41 Rd, just behind the Riverside Park.
In this video, we also take you to our favorite coffee shops in the area, the very enchanting Wonder Gardens which opened in 1936 and is a combination of botanical gardens and zoo for rescued and non-releasable animals and at the end we talk about the hottest new restaurant in the area, The Bohemian.
