Pentatonix sounds just the same in their live concerts. Are you aware that they have 20 MILLION subscribers, and that their videos have been viewed over at least 6 BILLION times. Keep reacting to them and your own numbers will go way up from what you have now.
Little Drummer Boy was written in 1941 by Katherine Kennicot Davis based on the melody of an old Czech Carroll. 1968 it was turned into one of the famous Rankin/Bass stop-motion animated Christmas specials (like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer). In 1977 Bing Crosby hosted a TV Christmas Special and David Bowie was a guest. They sang a duet of the song that became pretty famous. It was a strange pairing, Bing Crosby was an actor and old fashioned traditional crooner, while David Bowie was a young cutting edge artist. It was a surprising duo and bridged a generational gap in fandoms. I was 10 at the time and too young to have become a fan of either, but my brothers were 19 and 20, and they thought it was really cool. This arrangement by Pentatonix is a unique take on the song and one of their most popular Christmas songs, of which there must be about a hundred, lol. Yes, they do make all the sounds at once in this one. In more recent years they have done a few songs with some layering of body percussion that gets played back as a recording when they perform a song live, (“White Winter Hymnal,” and “I Saw Three Ships” for instance). I enjoyed your reaction!
