After a few minutes, I was thinking, man, John Taffer has so much data and opinion on the tip of his tongue. He hears a question and spins off a cogent answer with a lot of detail. A moment later I realized that the interviewer is also excellent, tossing off twenty relevant questions one after the other, showing they both are excited about their industry. Good show, great interview.
Nearly 4 decades of bar business experience I respect the man for helping most of these failing bars.
Taffer is awesome. His energy and intelligence is incredible. I love how he drags bars sunk in the past and shows them the light of the future. If the people he helps don't accept his advice, they'll go the way that most Christians who pray instead of accepting medicine, they'll die and let the smart people survive.
He is absolutely phenomenal... His passion is the business and you can tell. Hes genius.

Some people think that Jon is mean or rude, but they don't understand that Jon is tough and he's fair. Let's not forget that Jon doesn't just show up at these bars. They call him for help. He is a master psychologist and has a method to his madness. Everyone is motivated differently and some people need a light push while others need a good swift kick in the ass, metaphorically speaking. He initially gives them "shock therapy" and then begins the healing process. He's great.
Iron Bartender would be an awesome idea for a show. I'd greenlight that!

I love the work that Jon does and I totally agree with his 2 suggestions. At the bar where I was trained, our POS screen savers said UPSELL!!! and I always sanitized my cutting board before I used it.
Agreed. Jon is a "tough love" guy and if you do your job and the best you can, you're not going to have a problem with Jon.
He realy knows his shit. And he gives a damn good interviewee. He's a business man in truest sense. Really smart

I believe that what you see is what you get with Taffer. I think it's funny how when he walks into the bar for the first time that the employees have this look on their faces like when the principal walks into class. LOL

So that's why i never try!! it could never be fun to me ... I JOINED THE ARMY FOR 5 years, to get financial autonomy!! (bad reason i know!) so i realised at that moment i was learning how to kill before to be kileed maybe the day after!!.So i did consciously quit before drama .Probably, this is why i'm able to answer u today , with no bad injury or a PTSD next to mental disease...

Of course. It's an annoying attempt to build up I guess an excitement for the final unveiling of a new re-opening of the franchise he "rescued." which really isn't all great to lead up to. John does choose subtle names for the new bars , but he also has some names for the bars he re-invents that are completely odd , but no fault of his own for going to & rescuing bars in such weird areas. But yes , I think he & the producers do that on purpose & not because it's time to go to commercial either.

I love you Taffer but no drink is worth 60-150 bucks. I don't care how good it is or how old the scotch is. I'm sure it tastes amazing but in the end it's still just a liquid that is gone in a few minutes.
So this guy says alcohol is the way to life I wonder people like him. I should get into the rehab Industry the way he sells alcohol.

I hate it when he wants to reveal the new bars & he goes "ready? on the count of three , turn around." Then the bullshit goes to commercial. That shit annoys me , John Taffer. How about not teasing us viewers & just go to commercial first & then do the 1,2,3, crap & not do it twice. Too much rewinding on Tv. Just like Steve Wilkos & his lie detector or DNA tests where he says to the male guest ... The DNA test results are that Youuuuuu - then commercial break. That crap gets on my damn nerves.
