I'm so happy that the CT Bronzer has found a good home! It should be used and loved! I think the more you wear and play around with the Laura Geller, you'll love it even more! I get a more full coverage look in two ways. I use about half a pump of IT Cosmetics CC Cream just to provide a light veil of coverage (I need it...lol), then I buff in the powder foundation with a brush. Or, I use a flocked sponge like the Juno or Real Techniques powder sponge to gently swipe across the compact, apply to face (I swipe a few sections), and buff in with a brush. This gives more coverage without looking cakey. Her foundation never seems to look flat and one dimensional, probably because it's a liquid that's baked into a powder. I have the One Size and I like it, but my ride or die is Laura Geller! And yes, it's Reedy like speedy...lol! 😘 Have a great weekend!

Hi - do I call you Glitzy-? I use Laura Geller products, too I think you look gorgeous with that shade - porcelain?- you used. I agree that it looks bestbif you have good skin. I'm weird. One side of my face is good and the other side is--getting better- I've been working on peeling because I have texture on that side. So I apply it lightly on the texture side and I have to do the same to the good side. I am not very daring on my eyes, some stuff to bring them out. But I'm 67 and overall I'm happy with Laura Geller's products. The thing about her lipstickz are the caps comes off frequently in my purse! Bummer! I really enjoyed this video!❤️🔆🌸
I have never consideredthe Baked Balance and Brighten because it’s powder. After seeing you apply this, I cannot wait to buy this foundation! Your face looks beautiful! Thanks so much Mary!
I'm glad you tried and liked the Balance and Brighten foundation. I love the way it makes my skin look too but I'm between Porcelain (too light and too pink) and Fair (right undertone but too dark). I triedher Double Take powder foundation in Fair and it's perfect as far as shade but it lacks that glow that the B&B gives. I love Laura Geller blushes too and some of her lipsticks are beautiful!
I was in the same situation! Porcelain, too pale and pink with no coverage; Fair, a bit too dark and orangey. I bought the Double Take Bake, which had the right shade, but it was on the dry side and didn't have the pretty glow the Balance and Brighten had. My complexion looked flat and dull. Oh, well, I'm just not a "Geller Gal," I guess. I wonder why she doesn't include more shades in the Balance and Brighten line. Not all fair-skinned women are pink, peachy, or milk white.
EXACTLY...I don't know if you could tell but the foundation is just a tad...I mean just a bit too light for me BUT I had already returned the Light for being too dark, so I get what you are saying!
@@rosej9686 They used to have only ONE shade that LG said should adapt to most skin tones. I bought it and I was orange after applying. Nice finish, didn't get into lines and pores, but I definitely was NOT in the most skin tones category. She did add shades, but she needs to add more. They don't adjust that well. She's had nearly 20 years to develop new shades. I thought maybe it was a powder thing and it wasn't possible to make a wide range of shades, but MAC and Fenty have done it. I was amazed Fenty has a powder foundation shade that matches me. It's more drying than the LG, so I mostly wear it in the summer.
I tried Laura Geller eyeliners years ago and they apply creamy but they didn’t last long - at all. Love her blush though! I like the sound of the lipstick formula!
BTW, I've been using the sample of Tatcha Dewy cream, and it's soooooo nice!! The fragrance is lovely and fades quickly. Haven't reacted to the fragrance, but that usually takes time to develop. It's a very good day cream, though not as moisturizing as Skin Fix Triple-Lipid Peptide cream, which I'm more likely to buy than the Tatcha, but I get why people like it so much!
❤ your channel. So informative and entertaining! The first time I tried thIs foundation I didn’t t like it as it went on patchy but will give it another go since I paid $30 for it. Maybe the first time may have been a user issue…lol. I have a dense foundation brush that I will use.
Hi Mary I'm glad you like the balance n brighten lol. Her spackle primers are all really good and I've never had any issue with them sitting under any liquid foundation either - they're a great formula. The blushers and bronzers have always been really good, as are the highlighters - whether soft like ethereal rose or her gelato swirled versions. The eyeliners and mascaras have always been ok, but not outstanding. I like the lipsticks as they are moisturising, but they're not too opaque or long wear which is a fair point. Her eyeshadows are decent in my experience, but the complexion products are the stars of the show. It is makeup made with mature skin in mind. I rarely wear the powder foundation alone, but usually use it to top up coverage of a sheer/light coverage bb cream/foundation or as a touch up of coverage during the day. It also works well as an eyeshadow base for brightening up and concealing discolouration on the lid - as mentioned lol. One of my main uses for the balance n brighten is on the chest. I have a lot of redness due to rosacea, including my neck/chest some days and liquid foundation is more difficult to wash out of clothing. It covers the redness and doesn't slip around. I think a dense Kabuki brush is my preferred method of application, but a puff is fine for touch ups. The brow product I like from her is the brow pen - the first of this type I ever bought years ago and long before all the others on the market. it was developed by Laura for a friend going through chemo (if memory serves) and worked really well for adding hair like strokes to the brow. Best wishes Mary and the PITA reference always makes me smile.
Oh Oh Oh...somebody else also mentioned that brow pen and said she had it 10 years!! And BINGO on the using it over a foundation...I think this is a great light powder over the top of another foundation...you know if you want more coverage. I think the trick here with it is finding your shade cuz I mean it's just really a hair too light for me but the next shade up is too dark.
@@GlitzyFritzy Porcelain usually works for me, but it is dependent on the swirls - more pink and lighter swirls rather than any of the yellow lol. Some individual pans work better than others and it is a bit pot luck. In saying that for a very long time it was the palest powder foundation on the market. Due to how I tend to use it, if it's slightly off it's not too much of an issue, as it's mostly a dusting of it over something else. Also to repair coverage on the nose during the day it can be a slightly less than absolutely perfect tone. The porcelain colour is the colour of many translucent powders after all lol. Having the different shades does help it blend into a couple of different shades, but not used as an actual foundation perhaps. The balance n brighten porcelain is usually lighter than any of her other formulas, so that's the only one that works on me though. x
I love the Balance and Brighten foundation, bronzer, and her blushes. I have the Glow primer and I don’t like it much - too much glitter. I have a marble lipstick, I don’t much care for that one, it doesn’t have much color payoff. I also have one of the sculpted (I think that is what it’s called) lipsticks and I like that one (the case for that one is heavier and magnetic by the way).
Hey Mary! Thanks so much for this Geller review. I just made my first ever purchase from her line-that same blush. I usually prefer a cream blush but I love this formula. Do you think the foundation would cover sunspots or would I need a color-corrector? I almost cried when you talked about the pallet from Mel. I wouldn’t use it either. Have a great weekend Mary. Much love! ❤️❤️🥰
You know Mel WHO ACTUALLY COLLECTED makeup LOL would tell me to use it...she'd say I bought it for you to use it but I just can't! How wild is that that we bought the same shade of blush? No...that foundation doesn't cover my sunspots ... it's a barely there foundation Lisa!
Just had to add, my nickname was 'Little Britches' by our neighbor [his name was Miff] because I was always pulling my pants/shorts up a skinny no butt kid! I used it as my CB handle in the 70's!
Fun Mary - love to see all the stuff out in the world I haven't tried:) Remind me of the eyeliner that actually stays in the water line and tight lining?
Hi Mary, don't you hate that when that happens with your mascara, l love using the toppers from Danessa Myricks, especially the Sweet tooth, l love the look you are doing today, hugsssss ❤❤
How did I guess you would go with the blue eyeliner…🤣🤣 I just finished up my Tatcha Dewy Skin cream and I’m bummed, you were right I love it, hopefully I can catch another sale soon. Oh I would feel the same way about Mel’s gift to you, I’d keep it forever.🥰
Oh girl my only regret with the Tatcha was that Mel kept telling me about it and I thought it was just expensive hype and that it was no better than anything else I used :/ Wish I could tell her I was wrong!
@@GlitzyFritzy She’s with you always and you can still talk with her, tell her you love it, she will hear you. Hi Fritzy! Love the CT bronzer also. I have LG baked foundation in medium and it’s not pigmented enough for me ☹️. I like her blush though. Isn’t it hard to find a liner that stays on! Have you ever found one? Love Kerry from Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Mary, I didn't like the mascara. When you go to take out the wand to much product comes out. But I love her blushes. I have 3 different shades. I really enjoy your bloopers at the end of the videos. So funny.
I spy some Purtttyy Earrings!😍 I knew they were so you with my fav bandana ❤️😉 I totally understand the issue with that eyebrow pencil - ugh - I hate it when they drag or deposit too much in one spot. Random request 🙈- some day, I would love it if you would do a Video on products you would choose if you had to get rid of EVERYTHING (pretend you're moving Into a tiny house lol😂) 🙊 except one product in each category 🥸 ie:primer, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, powder, bronzer, blush, setting spray, lip liner, lipstick, gloss xo😊
Hey Annie! One year we went to my cousin's Halloween Party; Timmer was Buffalo Bill, and I was Annie Oakley! I recently came across Laura Geller's YT channel, so I watched two of her videos where she applied her make up! She's quite the character; I think you'd get a kick out of her, Mary! I've not tried her products, but she is into brightening the skin. I got a cream contour stick, powder blush, and an eyelid primer from Shein this week. I've been quite impressed with everything I've tried in their Sheglam line since I found their primer. And the packaging isn't 'chinsey' either. I'm thinking of trying their fouundation , or a powder foundation one of these days (I still haven't gone out shopping; maybe I'll stop at Shopper's Drug Mart, or 'Walimart' next Wednesday before I go for my needles. My nurse just started giving my needles two weeks ago (under another oral surgeon), because my oral surgeon of 26 years is off work for four months for serious treatment (I just found out he has cancer). It has been very upsetting. A real kick in the head, for sure...Love, and hugs, Mary, Sherrey💕😪💕
Another excellent review, Mary! Thanks! Been thinking I might try the LG next time I buy a powder foundation, since it's especially for us "seasoned" ladies!
Hope you like it, just keep in mind it's light coverage. Today I wore it over my L'Oreal powder foundation and I have to say...I like it even better over the top of it!
I have alot of Laura Gellar products from when I used to have QVC on nonstop. I should break out my Balance And Brighten. I have Balance and Glow too. I remember liking them, but then I was onto the next new thing, I guess.
Geller products have been hit or miss with me. None of her Balance & Brighten powder foundations work with my skin tone. I bought Porcelain when it came out, but it's too pale pink and has zero coverage. I do use it to tone down blush and smooth edges. The finish is nice and not drying, however. Just wish her shade selection was better. I've had to return many of her products. She did have a brow marker that was great. Don't know if she still makes it. It had a pronged tip and the color applied smoothly. The only problem was it was more suitable for a redhead. It was meant for blondes but I needed a cooler, more khaki shade. I still have that brow marker after over 10 years and it hasn't dried out! I've kept it for emergency purposes. Always wanted to try the blushes, but never got around to buying.
@@GlitzyFritzy I haven't checked Laura's website or QVC to see if it's still available. Mine originally came from Ulta. I've tried pronged brow markers by other brands and they conk out almost immediately. Hers was definitely the best. Gosh, if I'd had a baby when I bought that brow marker, he/she would be in middle school! I forgot to mention in my last comment how touched I was by your friendship with Mel Thompson. I never commented on her channel. Thought I had to subscribe to RUclips or something. But I'd always see what she'd have to say about new foundations, powders, concealers, etc., before considering a purchase. I was fascinated with her eyeshadow application skills, as well as her beauty. I loved her little laugh. So many of us miss her, as I know you do. It was heartening to see such a close friendship despite the age gap. Age doesn't mean anything anyway.
I don’t remember if I’ve used anything in this line that wasn’t in the “baked” line. So no eyeliner, mascara, etc. The foundations, bronzers, & blushes all start out as liquids that are baked on terracotta tiles that turn into the powder in the compact. Laura used to say that is why they are creamy on the skin, without being a cream. She also has the Double Take baked foundation that is full coverage. It is one solid color, not swirled like the Baked, Balance, & Brighten! I have one but have not tried it! 🤣🤣🤣
Love Laura! Used to watch her on QVC and have some of her powder foundation and blushes. Honestly, they're put away in favor of a vegan brand (Pacifica) and the holy grail of skincare: Mad Hippie. Love, their tinted sunscreen. What's the buzz about Charlotte? It seems overpriced for makeup. Explain please!
Ohhhhhh I LOVE Mad Hippie Jilly! I can't wait until I've used up some more of my skincare so I can get some more of it! For me...Charlotte is just beautiful and easy...like Lancome :D YUP it is pricey that's for sure but I like how little I need to use and how easy it all blends :D
Your skin is gorgeous! You don’t need any foundation at all really. You could have just pulled off the Baked And Brightness powder in a light coat with nothing else . Probably said that wrong . Haha. Your skin is amazing tho .
The powder foundation is really nice. The blush is beautiful. The mascara looks awful to use. I hate mascara that clumps. It's a pet peeve of mine -- and I have no time for mascara that flakes. Flake on me once and you're out. xo~linda

But I'm 67 and overall I'm happy with Laura Geller's products. The thing about her lipstickz are the caps comes off frequently in my purse! Bummer! I really enjoyed this video!❤️🔆🌸
Hi Carrie :D My name is Mary but alot of people do call me Glitzy so either is fine. I totally agree on the lipstick caps!
I have never consideredthe Baked Balance and Brighten because it’s powder. After seeing you apply this, I cannot wait to buy this foundation! Your face looks beautiful! Thanks so much Mary!
Thank you so much Kimberly...let me know how you like it!
I love Laura Geller products!!!!!
💕 🤟🏻💕
@@elizabethbarrow3801 right! We're not all "Nicole Kidmans" .
EXACTLY...I don't know if you could tell but the foundation is just a tad...I mean just a bit too light for me BUT I had already returned the Light for being too dark, so I get what you are saying!
@@GlitzyFritzy I've suggested to them that they should make a shade in between and maybe they will if more people request it. 🤔
It's a shame because they go in so beautiful AND they don't hurt...sometimes it hurts and makeup shouldn't HURT LOL

OH MAN I fell hard for Tatcha this year...Mel would be so proud of me LOL
❤ your channel. So informative and entertaining! The first time I tried thIs foundation I didn’t t like it as it went on patchy but will give it another go since I paid $30 for it. Maybe the first time may have been a user issue…lol. I have a dense foundation brush that I will use.
Thank you so much Terry and I bet you will like it better if you use the dense foundation brush 🤟🏻
Thanks for sharing that Paula!
You should try mally make up. Her eyeliner is like silk going on and it stays in my water line. It's on qvc
Good to know Beth...Mally is on my list for sure!
Just had to add, my nickname was 'Little Britches' by our neighbor [his name was Miff] because I was always pulling my pants/shorts up a skinny no butt kid! I used it as my CB handle in the 70's!
LOL I LOVE IT!
Fun Mary - love to see all the stuff out in the world I haven't tried:) Remind me of the eyeliner that actually stays in the water line and tight lining?

Ok, just ordered the Baked Balanced Foundation through your link so we’ll give this a try! I’ll let you know how it goes ! 😁
I can't wait to hear if you like it. I'm finding it I like it even more over my foundations LOL
@@GlitzyFritzy that does not surprise me lol but nice to know cuz I’ll try it that way too!
Hi Mary, don't you hate that when that happens with your mascara, l love using the toppers from Danessa Myricks, especially the Sweet tooth, l love the look you are doing today, hugsssss ❤❤
Thank you so much Jane 🤟🏻🌹
Yes! I’m so here for this❤️ However her liners smudge horribly on me! I like her liquid tinted moisturizer.
Anytime I’m looking to try some of the older stuff I’ll go see what Mel had to say about it, I’ve been purchasing a few things from her reviews, I miss hearing her laugh and recommendations.🥰

Hi Fritzy! Love the CT bronzer also. I have LG baked foundation in medium and it’s not pigmented enough for me ☹️. I like her blush though. Isn’t it hard to find a liner that stays on! Have you ever found one? Love Kerry from Australia 🇦🇺
YES...get this Kerry I promise you it won't come out go.magik.ly/ml/1h7jx/
I love Laura Geller baked powders! Sorry you didn’t pick up a bronzer. It’s my fave!
I remember loving it and I ALSO remember that after I decluttered it I was sorry :(
Hi Mary, I didn't like the mascara. When you go to take out the wand to much product comes out. But I love her blushes. I have 3 different shades. I really enjoy your bloopers at the end of the videos. So funny.
EXACTLY Iris...so messy, pulls off too much...you HAVE to wipe that thing off or it's going to ruin your eye makeup 💕 🤟🏻💕
I spy some Purtttyy Earrings!😍 I knew they were so you with my fav bandana ❤️😉
I totally understand the issue with that eyebrow pencil - ugh - I hate it when they drag or deposit too much in one spot.
Thank you Suzy...I saw them in black on your TikTok :D OK I'll think on that but just 1 OMG LOL
JUST 1! 😜

Oh I hate that for both you and your doctor! :( OK now I gotta go watch Laura Geller LOL Big Love and Huge Hugs Sherrey
The foundation was horrible on me, just plain without the spackle primer. Just dry as a bone. I've ordred the spackle. Will that make a difference.
I hope it does!
😂🙃😜😂 Boy ain't that the truth
Great video 💙💛❤💚💜
Thank you Kelly 🤗
WOW a brow marker that has lasted that long OMG!!! THAT is why it's gone they were not making any money on it LOL
I almost want to get the other double take and then put the one I have on top of it LOL

Porcelain
I knew you’d pick blue

What is your nail polish? It’s beautiful🙆♀️

Oh thank you!
The powder foundation is really nice.
The blush is beautiful.
The mascara looks awful to use. I hate mascara that clumps. It's a pet peeve of mine -- and I have no time for mascara that flakes. Flake on me once and you're out.
