This is the first time I hear Slovenia's song and I loved it from the very beginning. My favorite so far, I'm gonna keep listening to it all the time. 12 points from Spain ❤️🇪🇸
this sounds very fitting with the fact that Eurovision this year (2023) is in the UK, because this gives me a lot of UK indie bands vibes (like Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Klaxons and Two Door Cinema Club).
@@ThePeaceAround yes. I first knew Klaxons from their songs "Atlantis to Interzone" and "Gravity's Rainbow", which became some of the soundtracks for a football/soccer game called "Pro Evolution Soccer 2010".
Yes! As I told you on Twitter they’re my number 1 at the moment. I really hope they bring the energy in Liverpool and qualify easily to the Grand Final.
I figured you'd love this one 😀 It really is a great song, though. Callbacks to so many genres like 1970s rock, indie, disco and rave... so many awesome things packed into one, easily one of my favourite Slovenian entries (and I've thoroughly enjoyed them for the most part since 2018). Plus, bonus points to sticking to Slovene, to my ears sound great with this kinda thing and also for the music video. It's so much fun.
It's nice to see Slovenia be competitive again after what feels like a long time. It's hard to say how well they'll do before all of the songs are there, but given that they are in (what seems to be to me on paper) the weaker semi, this will most likely go through.
Hello!Loved your reaction about Joker out. They are the IT band in Slovenia right now and very much popular with young people. I was never really a fan, but last year, at the tv show that at the end they chose LPS, during the "halftime"(counting of the votes), this ruclips.net/video/RZECNj8xRvI/видео.html happened and I was blown away. Bojan Cvetićanin is the lead singer of Joker Out, Maja Keuc is a former Eurovision contestant. What blew me away was that 2 people who don't speak Italian, did this performance so well! I mean, I do speak Italian and Damiano's singing is fast as hell! Then I knew that Joker Out are good and very ready for the Eurovision stage. The song is about letting it go and dance and have fun. Wishing you happy Easter!
I absolutely loved Disko by LPS last year. I also once again love the Slovenian entry this year. This is young, fresh, hip, and super fun. Like - not every song needs to be this super emotional deep meaningful anti-war song. Sometimes, escapism like this can be exactly what we need. :)
I always love listening to your musical opinion; always enlightening - it is what makes your channel so unique. Great song indeed! Even better when performed live. The band has great stage presence and charisma … 🌻
this was one of my favorite songs this year! i love that slovenia still frequently sends songs in their own language, and they do so many different fun things with it. i wish more countries in eurovision were like slovenia, especially germany whose language has far more speakers but far fewer eurovision songs in the 21st century.
This reminded me of you when I heard it first time with the base and guitar solo. Slovenia's Eurovision vibe is really cool. It sounds like 2000s rock songs (think of The Killers - Somebody Told Me). I like it. For me, it's a second single in an album. Very relaxed and slick as you say. 8/10
At my first listen I thought that it wasn't a great song. Then, I have listened to some others entries and this one had risen up. Maybe only from lack of competition, for now.
It's a fun, danceable song with a short simple message... let's have fun here and now like it's the last time, we all need it... Good lead vocals, backing vocals, guitar parts, a song that lifts you up and most importantly, everyone is having fun on stage without any unnecessary stakes in it... there is no need for everyone to experiment with vocals and prove their range and the performance doesn't need to be overdone with some choreography to be something more... I like the simplicity of this song , I have fun listening to it and it makes me want to dance with them... Eurosong has been too saturated with some exaggerations last few years ... JUST LOVE IT❤️CONGRATS JOKER OUT, SLOVENIA - 10 points👍
I think its a solid entry with the risk of being underwhelming on the big live stage. Think it works better as a playlist track... Because of language it sorts breezes by without leaving real idea of what the song is about. Sound reminds me a little of a disco balk version of Hard-Fi - Hard to Beat ruclips.net/video/ch6qy0qdifc/видео.html which is one of my highschool favorites
Rachel, I would add 0.5 to your grade. It's a nice song and it gives those kinda "teen spirit" vibes. Maybe Eurovision young fans will like this song, imo.
I watched the live "showcase" performance of this, and they had a crowd jumping up and down behind them during the chorus, and lots of energy. The falsetto backing vocals sounded cool live. They're certainly less self-conscious than LPS were but even so, I worry this may not qualify again. I hope it does though. It's catchy, but it's not my favourite song this year. At the time of typing this you haven't released your reaction to my favourite two so far 🙂
I totally agree with you I love this music but I'm afraid that like last year it does not pass actually Slovenia sends great quality bands but the problem at Eurovision is that the instruments are in playback and maybe that's why despite the quality the audience does not hang I encourage people to listen to the last song of LPS a beautiful rock ballad.
So far in my top 8 this would be about 5th. So it seems like a nice song but for me it’s not groundbreaking. Just a pleasant radio friendly song. To me it’s not better than LDS but it is less niche and more mainstream so it should stand a better chance to qualify, which is what Slovenia need to concentrate on doing.
Joker Out is really popular here in Slovenia, however the song was made rather hastily and out of their ordinary style. They have much better songs than this one. It's a song for a disco club, but you forget it immediately after that.
Nice opinion:) live performance is even better, they know how to perform live and they have charisma.
My favourite so far! Live performance really elevated it too! They are Eurovision ready!
This is the first time I hear Slovenia's song and I loved it from the very beginning. My favorite so far, I'm gonna keep listening to it all the time. 12 points from Spain ❤️🇪🇸
Love Slovenia...My favourite so far ..top 5 material...
love this one! slovenia absolutely made the right choice selecting them (and going internal this year).
this sounds very fitting with the fact that Eurovision this year (2023) is in the UK, because this gives me a lot of UK indie bands vibes (like Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Klaxons and Two Door Cinema Club).
The klaxons are such an underrated band !
@@ThePeaceAround yes. I first knew Klaxons from their songs "Atlantis to Interzone" and "Gravity's Rainbow", which became some of the soundtracks for a football/soccer game called "Pro Evolution Soccer 2010".
True! It took me to The Killers - Hot Fuss immediately! (They're not UK but same era)
Loving Slovenia!! The live performance is even better than the video, in my opinion.
And btw the backing vocals are the band members, actually ;)
Yes! As I told you on Twitter they’re my number 1 at the moment. I really hope they bring the energy in Liverpool and qualify easily to the Grand Final.
thank you so much for the reaction! i'm from Slovenia myself and i'm really proud of the Joker out band! also greetings from Slovenia! 💕

Great review, you're gonna be even more impressed by their live performance video :-)
Thx 😊Greetings from🇸🇮
Fun song! Deserves to qualify.
So glad you enjoyed our entry! ❤🇸🇮

I love this...!💖

Thought you'd appreciate this one, Rach. Such a likeable band, with a polished sound.
7.5 from me.

Love this one! Currently my favourite along with Norway

Thank you 💖
Slovenci idemooooo
Wonderful reaction as always, can't wait for you to react to VESNA - My sister's crown
Their live performance was great too, I really think Slovenia will be back in the final
This is why I love watching reaction videos! Because this one passed me by a little but now I’ve got a new appreciation for it 👏🏼

my 3rd place so far but it's a grower, i can see it at the top of my ranking one day x)

Definitely the most catchy song of the bands
So happy to see you again after almost a year. Eurovision is here!!!. Slovenia again looks interesting i think. Keep up the videos Eurovision!!!
At my first listen I thought that it wasn't a great song. Then, I have listened to some others entries and this one had risen up. Maybe only from lack of competition, for now.
the live performance was so cool. it is a bit weird to send boybands two years in a row but slovenia really made the right choice this year

Yeah good song, In the second break it definitely reminds me of the cover of a Beatles album, when they look out from a building.
Reminds me of one of those 00's rock bands like Franz Ferdinand.
Yes, they are soooo 🤤🤤🤤

React to MESC Semi Final live performances
I watched the live "showcase" performance of this, and they had a crowd jumping up and down behind them during the chorus, and lots of energy. The falsetto backing vocals sounded cool live.

would u review the live performance?
Did you see that you are on a Subwoolfer's video?
Yes!! So cool :)
Reaction to Marco Mengoni - Due vite (Sanremo festival 2023) ❤️
As far as the lyrics go, 'carpe diem' is really all you need to know for this one. Or maybe, if you really want to be pedantic, 'seize the night'.
react to spain, norway and czechia please, all of this are amazing!!! ❤
MANY PEOPLE SLEEP ON THIS SONG
It's o.k., not great, but o.k. I give it a 6. Some of the songs just aren't my type of songs.
Joker Out is really popular here in Slovenia, however the song was made rather hastily and out of their ordinary style. They have much better songs than this one. It's a song for a disco club, but you forget it immediately after that.
