The small but mighty Slovenia strikes again. The live performance slaps too, and you need to see that. Welcome back to number one again (last time was Sebi), Slovenia. Lots of applause for Joker Out.
OMG IM OBSESSED, WINNER VIBES!!! their live performance on EMA is so freaking good! Everything was on point and this (similar to spain) is a live package!
I'm so proud of my country this year. This is so catchy and fun. I feel really good about us qualifying this year. Also I really love that's in Slovenian.
I love this so much. sLOVEnia is my stan country: Joker Out, Raiven (Zažarim), Zala & Gasper, LUMA, Hvala Ne, Disko. Slovene is such a beautiful language.
I agree with you Alesia. Great fun and good produced song. I think live the band and the song will come across even better. It’s a banger 🎉 well done sLOVEnia 🇸🇮
OK.... i am a biiiig Eurovision fan and i am also Slovenian and i feel like my country has always been dragged around and hardly ever sent anything worthy of listening to .... with maybe one or 2 exceptions.... but this one.... OH BOY!!!!!!! This is the best song that has ever been sent to Eurosong by Slovenia and i am so proud and excited !! It just hits you and i hope it hits everyone around Europe and the world with joy and happiness. Joker out is definitely not going out this time!! 💘💖💓💕
When I see this (and Sebi too, tbh) and realize that Slovenia is capable of this cool stuff, I just think why they don't tap into that more often. This is really good!
I wasn't sold on the MV alone but the live performance they did was good so I think they will qualify. Personally the sound isn't something I usually listen to but its ok. Its giving similar vibes to Mim Pravil from last year and I realised I liked that a few months after Eurovision so hopefully this grows on me too
Honestly, I really love this. Not every Eurovision song needs to have such a heavy meaning. Sometimes it can just be a fun dance number about a long night out. This is escapism and happiness. I hope they do well.
yeah i love it, it feels so alive, I actually love Slovenia more than the average public almost every year :)) I always thought they really send quality
Slovenia is good this year. Indie pop rock that resonates across the generation. I am hoping that they get a decent if not great ranking during the runs but that will be all depending on what the package will be as a whole. They are also great live so I have high hopes for these folks.
I’m obsessed - the live performance is so so good!!! I would love this to win 🕺💃 if you have time please could you post your reaction to the live performance? no worries if not :)
Alesia there is a live preformance out, and you won't be disappointed! I honestly think they serve WAY better live than studio. I'm so happy for Slovenia
This is my second fav entry so far (#1 is Spain ofc) and the live version has such a magnetic energy, they could definitely get the crowd going at Liverpool. Plus, you remember the melody even if you don't understand Slovene. And as you mentioned, they just look so cool!
Just in case anyone is wondering where this video was filmed, the staircase belongs to the Eurostar Uhotel, the entrance to the Grand Hotel really next door in downtown Ljubljana. Stayed there myself a few years ago. Nice song however I am wondering if it will be outstanding enough…
Alesia you are right...this is amazing, fresh and just a vibe...defenitely top 5 materia maybe even a dark horse rhis year....basically this is very current and very now so maybe thia has a shot...
My favorite so far. Finally a song that I can casually listen to and the most important thing is they don't try so hard like Spain & Norway to make a song sound so Eurovisonyyyy.
This is the type of song that I feel is going to be popular amongst the younger audience, this is super Spotify friendly to me. I feel though that it's the juries that will really appreciate this, it has a lot of the things they are looking for in an entry. I'm not sure if it's top 10 - it could be though - but it's absolutely top 15 in my eyes. This will surely qualify.
I love Joker Out already so I can't judge them objectively, but I'm soooo happy you liked the song! Check out their live performance in Misija Evrovizija. Carpe Diem is even more impactful on stage. 🙂
6:43 Heeeeck YESSS! :-D Ok, as a Slovenian I'm super biased and for some weird reason my national pride seems to kick in the most for the Eurovision Song competition, BUT these guys know their stuff inside out and I'm super happy that you said it out loud - "Carpe Diem" indeed has all the ingredients to be a winning song! And if it were up to me, every pop rock song should get an extra point just for bringing their riffs to the comp! Great reaction/review video, really cool hearing an opinion from across the Atlantic. PS - the video with their live performance is much better! Let's talk accommodation for 2024 haha
Slovenia is one of those countries where i unfortunately think a lot of things outside the control of their own entry would need to align, for them to content for the win. Just like Portugal's win (or cyprus almost getting it in 2018). So yeah i don't personally feel that this js a contender for the trophy. But it's fantastic and i would love to see them give Slovenia a left side of the scoreboard result. Hopefully their best result ever. And although I don't see it, I'd be happy if they won. Even tho Spain is my first place in my current "who i think should win Eurovision" list, Slovenia is barely edging Spain in my "this is my personal jam" list
I agree with all the positives, my ONE critique is that it doesnt have a memorable hook (for me). But it's a great package overall and they ALL have so much charisma - judging from their live performance. This is a sure qualifier!
This really reminds me of several British bands vibe from years ago. Like several have said in the comments.. Studio cut is actually meh! Its the live performance that is way better actually.
6:05 Definitely, iirc Joker Out applied for EMA and the contest was cancelled specifically because the broadcaster knew Joker Out was so good, they didn't need a national selection anymore, they'd found it.
Can we demand from the organization that the groups have the right to play the instruments? I think it's unfair to cancel everyone and leave only the vocalist
I feel indifferent about this one, mostly because though it's objectively good, I'm not really feeling the melody, it's not very catchy Idk, I feel nothing lol, but good luck Slovenia, still mad at them for not picking "All In" last year
Oooh. Oh. Ok. 😏 I don’t usually disagree with you. But this one just doesn’t do anything for me… at all..like, fast forward, skip… for me 🙃 don’t get it.
I like it but it feels insufficiently distant from last year. Which I liked, but it didn't do as well as I would have liked. I am afraid similar is going to happen this time, I am missing that WOW factor.
The small but mighty Slovenia strikes again. The live performance slaps too, and you need to see that. Welcome back to number one again (last time was Sebi), Slovenia. Lots of applause for Joker Out.
Live is superior to the music video honestly.
OMG IM OBSESSED, WINNER VIBES!!! their live performance on EMA is so freaking good! Everything was on point and this (similar to spain) is a live package!
I'm so proud of my country this year. This is so catchy and fun. I feel really good about us qualifying this year. Also I really love that's in Slovenian.
they did a live performance and it’s even better you should react to that as well!!
It’s a quality song - great hook, great energy, great visuals, great styling, they’re hot, it’s in Slovene - all boxes are ticked
If this won't qualify, I'll cry 😂😭 I love it
There's a performance video and It's even better. Slovenia is qualifying for sure.
I have been listening to this on loop! I guess I am a Slovenia stannie this year.
A very good day, it restored my faith in ESC 2023 😃
I would be perfectly fine with this winning Eurovision.
Such a vibe & catchy melody 🎉✨
12 Points from Norway 🇧🇻🔥
Sorry but...From Paris 🇫🇷..Slovenia is just WAHOUUUU...12 POINTS 💋💥 to Slovenia 🇫🇷💋🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮❤❤❤
I love this so much. sLOVEnia is my stan country: Joker Out, Raiven (Zažarim), Zala & Gasper, LUMA, Hvala Ne, Disko. Slovene is such a beautiful language.
This is solid top 10 maybe top 5 I love this but for me doesn’t scream winner but Slovenia should be proud because they 100% making the final
Yes allesia...this is a winner potential...amazing...
I agree with you Alesia. Great fun and good produced song. I think live the band and the song will come across even better. It’s a banger 🎉 well done sLOVEnia 🇸🇮

Nice studio cut, but the live really elevated it for me. Much better than Ireland in comparison.
I agree with you. It's amazing vibe and live is also good thanks
When I see this (and Sebi too, tbh) and realize that Slovenia is capable of this cool stuff, I just think why they don't tap into that more often. This is really good!
Agreed!!
Didn't think much of it but live this comes through. Glad they weren't discouraged by last year's result
I wasn't sold on the MV alone but the live performance they did was good so I think they will qualify. Personally the sound isn't something I usually listen to but its ok. Its giving similar vibes to Mim Pravil from last year and I realised I liked that a few months after Eurovision so hopefully this grows on me too
I relly like your reaction. Hello from Slovenija ❤
Looking forward to see Slovenia back in the final!
i watched the Slovenian presentation show, amazing previous entries, and....wow theres something about it ... SLOVENIA WILL be in the final woohoo
Honestly, I really love this. Not every Eurovision song needs to have such a heavy meaning. Sometimes it can just be a fun dance number about a long night out. This is escapism and happiness. I hope they do well.
yeah i love it, it feels so alive, I actually love Slovenia more than the average public almost every year :)) I always thought they really send quality
please react to live performance because it is even better than studio version.
this is just quality tbh
Very good song from a likeable band. As you say, there is nothing to be negative about.
It could grow on me with listens but I wasnt blown away with the first listen
And the live version is MUCH better...which is a GREAT sign!
There's a live version that's even better.
After watching one of your videos the theme song gets stuck in my head every time. It’s so catchy
Slovenia is good this year. Indie pop rock that resonates across the generation. I am hoping that they get a decent if not great ranking during the runs but that will be all depending on what the package will be as a whole. They are also great live so I have high hopes for these folks.
Love love love this! With this and Spain I am officially in the mood for Eurovision 2023
I’m obsessed - the live performance is so so good!!! I would love this to win 🕺💃 if you have time please could you post your reaction to the live performance? no worries if not :)
Thank you Alesia ❤️ from 🇸🇮
The Eurovision race for the win has begun 😊
Yes I love it as well 😄🙂!! You need to watch the live performance, it's absolutely amazing 🤩🇸🇮
Can't wait!
My current number 1
This song is genuinely so good, I didn’t get why it is so low in the odds
Great energy in this song. Really like it
that live performance has me convinced this is top 10
This is in my top 3 from all the songs so far.
Alesia there is a live preformance out, and you won't be disappointed! I honestly think they serve WAY better live than studio. I'm so happy for Slovenia

Nothing will beat Sebi but I loooove this song❤️🫶🏾
You have to react their live performance they are the definition of performers!
Watch the live version you will fall in love 😍
Great review! Thanks from a Slovenian.
They already have a live performance which is even better!
The live sounds just as good as the studio track
I would say much better!
This could be Slovenia's best entry in years! I love it!
Im loving this from Slovenia!

This is very very good. A top 5 for me
My favorite so far. Finally a song that I can casually listen to and the most important thing is they don't try so hard like Spain & Norway to make a song sound so Eurovisonyyyy.
And their live performance is so good. Great vocals, stage presence and just a cool vibe but not try hard

Check out their live performance in Misija Evrovizija. Carpe Diem is even more impactful on stage. 🙂
I love this song so much! I am so happy Slovenia has a competetive song😊
6:43 Heeeeck YESSS! :-D

I love it, in this moment my number 1 among the already 7 released songs
You should also react to the live performance - it is SO much better.
I agree with all the positives, my ONE critique is that it doesnt have a memorable hook (for me). But it's a great package overall and they ALL have so much charisma - judging from their live performance. This is a sure qualifier!
live is even more amazing imo
Ugh! Wonderful. :-)
This si a total Q song ❤️
i like this song because there is no sexist scenes like we live it today in every music.
sLOVEvenia ✌️👌👍
This really reminds me of several British bands vibe from years ago. Like several have said in the comments.. Studio cut is actually meh! Its the live performance that is way better actually.
6:05 Definitely, iirc Joker Out applied for EMA and the contest was cancelled specifically because the broadcaster knew Joker Out was so good, they didn't need a national selection anymore, they'd found it.
What a great decision on their part!!!
Well, they're currently the biggest band in the country so they would win anyway.
Slovenia will be one of the best, thats why they chose internally, because they cant choose ok entry most of the time
Can we demand from the organization that the groups have the right to play the instruments?
I think it's unfair to cancel everyone and leave only the vocalist
Start it!
Actually, I don't know if they are qualifiers but being in semi 2 maybe helps them...I don't know if it's memorable enough
I'm almost 100% certain that this will qualify. It's 2nd half, great live performance, seriously engaging track. It'll be fine
@@Redu3 It's not my cup of tea but being in semi 2 will maybe make them qualify
Not sure if this will qualify tbh, especially in a year where countries like Georgia could send something very strong
Major grower.
I like the song, but I don't see the winner worthy vibes
Wait are you guys tripping or is it me I don’t like it at alll 😮 4:10
I feel indifferent about this one, mostly because though it's objectively good, I'm not really feeling the melody, it's not very catchy
Idk, I feel nothing lol, but good luck Slovenia, still mad at them for not picking "All In" last year
JOKER OUT - EUROSONG - 23 - 17.........
Oooh. Oh. Ok. 😏 I don’t usually disagree with you. But this one just doesn’t do anything for me… at all..like, fast forward, skip… for me 🙃 don’t get it.
Out of context. Girl. Why do you have such a creepy intro? :D
I don't no why Slovenia sends this kind of songs.... not my cup of tea.... but hey maby Europe likes, good luck
I like it but it feels insufficiently distant from last year. Which I liked, but it didn't do as well as I would have liked. I am afraid similar is going to happen this time, I am missing that WOW factor.
It was live performance, that LPS didn't do well. It wasn't the song. These guys are experienced and are good entertainers.
