This map is beautiful. It captured the emotions of the scene so well without an excessive amount of editing, and the variety of animators and styles really captured my eye, as well as the talented animators I’ve never seen/heard of before. Briarlight definitely deserved more as a character and this map takes the chance to make her death feel like something more than bad writing. Bravo to everyone who participated in this map for contributing to a fantastic map!

I just finished the book where she died and I’m in tears after this. They killed her in a way they shouldn’t have. She should have died in a much better way, not tummy sickness. She should have died defending her clan in some way, a true warrior’s death, or of old age.
I agree I don't think they knew what to do with a disabled cat. So they were like well what do we do. *shifty eyes* One of them "She dies because of a sickness and doesn't want to speak up." When I read the book I was like why didn't Jayfeather notice? Its like he's the medicine cat right and yet there's a cat right there in front of his nose hiding the fact she's sick. Were you too busy Jayfeather? Was that it.. I honestly hated she had to end in that way. Anyways I really love this song..

I cried so hard watching this. My grandfathers died from cancer pretty recently and this touched me on such a personal level I can’t thank everyone who had a part in this enough.

I love this ship (briarxjay) and I wish it could be canon because it would be so interesting. And I LOVE 1:23, it’s my favorite shot of the whole map. This map just really brings out the relationship they had. And how much he cared for her. Awesome job!
This is really gorgeous and I think the song really suits too. A really beautiful map alltogether. I haven't personally gotten to Briar's death yet in the books but I know I'm gonna be sad to see her go... She's one of my top faves along with Jayboi and some others... It was nice to see map parts done by some new animators I haven't heard of before, everyone did such gorgeous work to make this piece of art together! This is really inspiring!
Don't worry you are not alone because I ship them as well with all my heart! Honestly with having CRPS (which is a nervous system issue) myself and it being uncurable I honestly could personally relate to both Cinderpelt and Brairlight (though especailly Brairlight) and I saw her process and mindset about her paraylised leg to truly pertain to my own struggles. I may not have found a crush/partner version of Jayfeather but I have a really close friend who helped me and I helped her through her struggles, we were both broken but together we found hope to live on and not give up on living (we're both suicidal due to depression so I mean that literally). So honestly I really wished Brairlight's and Jayfeather's bond could've been more fleshed out because it was truly beautiful! May Brairlight find endless happiness in Starclan, and rest at ease knowing how many of the others (especially Jayfeather) hold her dear to their heart!
I love each and every one of the parts and their creators. They are such talented artists and just nice people in general. 😊 I can't wait to see this map and it's literally eating me from the inside out but ya know- don't mind me-

I wasn’t expecting cancer when I read the title so as soon as I clicked I was instantly sad. Not only was the topic itself sad but you brought out my inner emo that I have kept quite for a good few years. Also I swear that outro music is from TAZ I distinctively remember it from the scene Taako forgets in the stolen century.

I'm late to comment on this MAP, but honestly this MAP is beautiful. I think it portrays Briarlight's death very well, and Jayfeather's role in this made it even better. I think it portrays Briar's family well, like they were truly sad to see her go. This MAP almost made me cry, and the end was sad. The credits were nice, too. I love this MAP, every part was amazing.

This whole thing was quite sad, but it did give me a burst of joy to see Briarlight walking and jumping as a spirit.
This killed me. Briarlight’s death is one of the saddest in the series, and Jayfeather’s reaction got me to bawl my eyes out.
