This game is a NES jewel. Oddly enough, one of the moments that I most clearly remember since playing it in childhood is a great trolling moment at Louie's stage (Level 8, falling platforms) - the first and only path fork actually has the false direction (right) looking visually more likely to be a path you want to take - until you go 3 more platforms (previously unseen due to screen bounds), and fully realize your helplessness as you try to jump left, desperately hoping you could actually still reach the correct path (which you can't, as it's designed to be exclusive). That was savage, and also fun at the same time.
I remember being tricked by that a few times :) The game overall was kinda brutal with its blind jumps. You really had to memorize these levels to finish them without falling into traps or running out of time.
The Jungle Book contains some of the best animation ever seen on the NES, since Phantom Fighter. It may be better than its 16-bit counterparts, namely in play control. The music is decent for an late NES game.
I believe this ended up being the last third-party release for the NES in North America. An honor that looked like it would go to Hudson Soft's Beauty and the Beast cartridge that was previewed in Nintendo Power but was only released in Europe.
I actually have fond memories of this one. Got it much later than '94, but it really looks nice/has a good soundtrack. I liked the way it played too, even though I'm normally not a huge fan of typically Europlatformer-like collectathons. One other game I can think of with very smooth animations is Moon Crystal, a JP-exclusive by Hect (also, one of the first exclusives I ever bought!).
My cousin had this game on a fake "yellow cartridge" for EU. Maaaaaan, so as I remember, nostalgia hits hard when I remember the time when we played this great game ages ago.
Disney's The Jungle Book (NES) - 0:00 Aladdin and The Lion King the like a movie play at the video game 🕹🎮 seems are known most we with a children. It literally took my 2 months to reach level 4 when I was a child, first time I played this I got confused when I reached at the "end" of the path, I was expecting the level to finish just like super mario...
This game been bootlegged so many times Jontron, Vinesauce Joel, and Rerez eventually took notice. This ain't even the best NES Disney game out there to bootleg because its the freaking jungle book everybody knows the jungle book!
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
In all seriousness, this looks really impressive for the NES.
Agreed this almost looks like a Genesis game
One of the last official NES games to be released.

Damn, the nostalgia hits hard... Watching this and hearing the soundtrack behind,it's like a lullaby in my ears👍
If only the NES had more games of this quality at the end of its life, who knows how much longer it might've stuck around?
Played this on Genesis back then. For an NES game, it's not too bad.
Can you play The Lion King SNES😂
This game was sh1t...
The system died in 1995. If it stuck around any longer, it would be competing with the N64. Never would have happened.
Look how far the NES had come. "Disney's The Lion King" was the very last official NES release, apparently, and it was released only in Europe.
I always thought it was Warios Woods
@@gamegenie4617
Wario’s Woods was the final US release, but the Lion King came out in May 1995, 6 months after Wario’s Woods.
just forget Disney's the lion king's existence and forever think of Wario woods as the last nes game
The animations in this game are too smooth for an NES game haha
The walking animations look so smooth
It’s one of my favorite games in childhood.
Such an amazing game I used to play a lot as a kid.
The evergreen video game!! Passed this game million times and didn't even know that I could change the weapons ☹️
Personally I find this version truly fantastic.
I did too. It's so impressive for an NES game.
You bring back to my childhood ❣️
One of the last great NES games!
I Never Knew There was an NES Version of the Jungle Book, It Looks Cool. I Remember Getting the SNES Version back in 93 When I was 6.
We refuse to let this retro history of a console die
MAAAAAAN! I didn't remember i played this when i was a child!!!
Normally, I don't like the warbly notes of this sound engine, but for this game, it kind of works.
I love the Jungle Book also I'm 30 today
@@jaygooese4242 So do I, and happy belated birthday. :)

I wished the NES versions of Lion King and Aladdin had half as much effort as this one.
All I can think of with this game, is the *_JonTron_* *_"Disney Bootlegs"_* episode.
Well if you can beat em, join em.
Just gonna comment on that this game has been bootlegged so many times
@Some guy with an blursed pfp [Mayk Felix] Ugh... I try to get that out my head. The act of twerking, in general, is just stupid.
That was jontron's last truly good video vefore he started doing......um...whatever the frick is his content now....
@@W4lmartbag Yeah, I wish he reviewed games again. They were easily his best videos.
Never played this one. Looks like the production values were there!!
Eurocom has done it again

“mating season has begun”
Damn, I never knew about this one. It looks awesome for an NES game!
Also on the compilation for Nintendo switch and other platforms
can’t believe it is coming out soon on PS4 and one of my favourite games
The only minor flaw in this game is the controls, which can sometimes feel a bit awkward.
It's not a big deal, though, and the game is overall great.
I remember this from a bootleg with Simba twerking.
@Some guy with an blursed pfp [Mayk Felix] I know.
GRAND DAD!

Mowgli Begins his Journey Through the "LION" to find the man village.
Really, the whole lion, huh?
A 90s Disney NES game that *wasn't* ported from the Game Boy version!?
Can’t wait to get the RG351M to play all these classics
level 7 was pain in ass
Hard to believe this is nes the game quality is really good.
fantastic game
My version must be broken
I cant seem to figure out how to even pass the first stage.
Im stuck at the end of the level
You have to collect all the diamonds to finish the stage

This game is asking for to much. This game is harder than gta 5 😂

The potential of nes game was so high and games were about to come but then it shut, sad😢
Mowgli looks a lot like Radical Ed in this version
Is this game really hard?
Must! Resist! The urge! To reference! Jontron!
The second to last game released on the NES in America, right behind Wario’s Woods
Mowgli, huh?
Very different compared to SNES version
Much like many others, Jontron got me here.
Epic
Insert Vinesauce Joel, JonTron, and Rerez jokes here.
Sounds like a c64 game
Pensé q el personaje era un Tigre... I sure
