I love detecting in the woods too! So far I found some hand-hammered nails made before 1800 but they’re in rough shape. The previous owner of my house was the first recorded person to develop this land, so the previous inhabitants predate our land records. I think I have piece of an oxen shoe too. I had no idea what it might be until I saw this video. True history isn’t written in books. It’s under our feet!
Thank you Charlie for the adventure seeing some beautiful scenery ! I might never see as I'm 68 and don't get to travel much anymore ! I would love to be able to come up that way just to see the beautiful scenery ! I've driven in almost every state West of the Mississippi River except Minnesota , Louisiana , Montana and Nevada ! East of the Mississippi River I've been to Wisconsin Illinois , Indiana , Kentucky , Ohio , West Virginia and Pennsylvania !
You have amazing navigation skills Charlie. Didn't find much but it was a nice hike listening to the sounds of nature. And the beautiful stream. Thank you for such a nice walk in the woods.😊
Had a place in NH and I know of this "ancient " first growth tree. Which is huge and beautiful. Don't know how many people know about it .but it is pretty cool.
According to a map that I found among some of my ancestors stuff ! It's a map of Maine according to the map with names of people that helped set up the state lines of Maine , the United States and Canada ! I understanding is one of my ancestors helped set up those boundaries !
@Not Thursday Charlie, those cool bridges you come across from time to time, have you considered hunting in the water downstream from them? Just a thought. Really enjoyed the adventure today!
Im surprised you dont carry a longer handled shovel to make easier work of things. I drag my Barracuda most places i go. I get that you cover some miles out there and i guess with the camera gear etc., you need to liggten the load. Great video as usual!
I love your editing. Things go so smoothly. No sudden chops. Keep detecting.

Thank you Charlie for the journey. The brook sounded so refreshing on this Not Thursday. Joyce ❤️🙏🇺🇸
Awesome adventure!
That brook looks like a good place to gold pan
That last one could have been part of a cufflink.
If you are going exploring---I'm in!

Great video as usual!
Us New Englanders like to bury stuff. Farming equipment, cars, people, weapons, towns, you name it.
With all the small waterways (brooks and streams) have you ever seen wild native brook trout? And have you ever fished them?
Great work! Give us some tips along the way ;)
Did the original farmers drink the water from the Brook or sink a well ? Watching from Tucson.✌️
“Good fences make good neighbors.”
Beautiful day and a relaxing adventure. Feels like I work much harder than you do every time I pick up my detector??? Thanks for sharing.
Do y'all ever detect the brooks and streams or walk them to see what you can find? Love your videos.
