  • As part of our online Area Group event, Simon Wellock, South Humber Warden for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, tells us about the management of Far Ings National Nature Reserve for bitterns and other wildlife.
Far Ings is situated on the south bank of the Humber Estuary, a major east-west flyway for migrating birds. The pits and reedbeds make it an ideal habitat for bitterns, but this requires constant management from Simon and his team of volunteers. Simon tells us more about how this is done and what they have achieved for nature.
