    I expected Marquise Davis to commit to Kentucky, and I'm not sure NIL played that big of a role. He said NIL weighed only 25% in his decision. The bigger factors for him was he didn't want to redshirt, but wanted to play right away. He also didn't want to play at a school that weighs heavily on the running backs. He said, "you don't want to go to the next level all banged up." It's very unlikely that he would have started at Michigan his freshman year, and Michigan uses RB more than most, so I always felt he was higher on Kentucky.

    • @CertifiedClapaholic
      @CertifiedClapaholic 18 дней назад +2

      Which is ignorant because Michigan loves to use two RBs, even 3 sometimes.

  • @freeheeler00

    I'm honestly tired of hearing the cliched "Michigan needs a big-bodied receiver". They actually have one of the best "big-bodied" receivers coming back in Colston Loveland who can and will flex out wide. Marlin Klein looks like he can play too. Some say he's one of the fastest guys on the team. Both guys are 6'5"/245lbs. As far as the wide receiver room goes, Michigan just needs guys that can play tough football. If Michigan were to go into the season with what they have right now, including Charleston, their top six wide receivers will average 6 foot and184lbs. They can work with that.

    • @scottlaux6934
      @scottlaux6934 18 дней назад +4

      Bong. Teams win championships with the Roman Wilson and Julian Edelman guys along with big tight ends. Detroit never won a playoff game with Calvin Johnson but went to NFC championship with Amon Ra St. Brown.

    • @MichiganSportsTalk
      @MichiganSportsTalk  18 дней назад +3

      While that's true, it would be nice to have a big body receiver in play actions. The tight ends are going to have to line up on the line of scrimmage. It would be nice to have a receiver on the outside that can go up and make a play if they do a play action pass. And imagine having a 6'3 receiver out there along with Loveland as the tight end...

      @@MichiganSportsTalk I'm just saying, all those things Buckeye fans had issues with Alford in the past 5 years are real and not "sour grapes" like some people like to say. There's a reason Day gave him a pay cut with an ultimatum to tighten up his recruiting. Hell, 2 cycles ago he ended up with ZERO RBs in the '23 Buckeye class, plus have you forgotten he totally blew the Jordan Marshall recruitment by being late to the game? But I guess we'll see, it might work out better in AA. I'll give you this though Bro, you're a true ride or die UM fan who doesn't throw around corny takes or juvenile rival barbs.
