My other way of checking for any sign of the bill being real is simply looking at it super ridiculously close up with a magnifier to look for any red and blue silk threads on the surface of the bill.
Yes they are real and possibly worth more than face value. Banks DO accept these bills but you must deposit into the account of your bank first to pay a bill or the bank can give you a new bill!
I don't know a lot about it, but I do know that "In God we Trust" was not on our paper money until 1957. You can find examples of this same bill on Ebay. Do a search for "1950 One Hundred Dollar Bill."
I went to the bank atm today lol and it rejected a $100 bills too. I checked the date and it’s an 1950 bill. Tomorrow I’ll be going to the bank and see what the say
