Thanks for sharing . I was an apprentice at BAC Warton and remember the Canberra floating around, built at Samlesbury. I didn't know there were any 'live' aircraft left and it's great to see this beauty.

Helped to look after that Canberra when she retired from RAF service back in the 80's, she was still in 100 Squadron markings coded C-T

One of the two most beautiful jets ever made the other being the Hawker Hunter.

That brings back memories, as a young kid in the 50's, watching them leaving and arriving at Wilberforce RAAF base Richmond. They and the Vampires would fly right over our place in south Windsor. 😃👍👍

The best display I saw was at RAF Haydon in the 60's full display with a 500ft cloud base. A wonderful aircraft

Well done Aussie cousins for keeping this flying. We had a taxiable one here in the UK, alongside other cold war jets such as Lightning, Bucceneer, Victor, Comet and VC10 airliners, which were fast taxied a couple of times a year at Bruntingthorpe, it was a great show, but they pulled the plug a couple of years ago. Now those jets are sitting around rotting away. What a waste. Well done you guys.

Dad had so many stories about flying the Canberra, mostly out of Laverton, Vic - from the late 50's Into the 60's.
He was always flying out to the Woomera rocket range or doing photographic surveillance all over Australia.
I used to help load up small weather balloons into the bomb bay for air shows, where he'd drop them over the crowd.

I love the Canberra, I never got to fly one when I was in the RAF, but I did okay with Hawks, JaguarGR1/GR3 and the Tornado GR1 and GR4, I got a flight in a T7 Hunter a few times, which a lot of fun.

I'll never forget being buzzed by a Canberra at Tindal during an exercise back in 1970 or 71. The pilot was a gun because he got through the Mirage defenses and went over the top of us next to the strip at about 200 feet at nearly a vertical bank angle. Spekky.

I remember a Vietnamese soldier referring to this plane as 'the plane that never ran out of bombs'. It really could carry alot of heavy bombs.

I follow your main channel Paul, but I didn’t know about this one! That is my fault for not looking into that after your trip to the States showing off incredible military aircraft! Luckily for me this video popped up in my feed tonight!
I need to get up to Temora for one of their shows. To see a Canberra fly in person must be incredible, they are such a majestic looking aircraft. They’re almost as good looking as the Hunter! Both so successful in their day too. I have seen “Pigs” dive bombing dropping practice bombs 500 yards astern of my ship at a target we streamed back in the “days of sail” as my son likes to call it, and they were great looking too. Just not in the same way…
Thanks for putting up such great content for nerds like me Paul! 👍

Two things that drive me away from airshows, inane unending commentary and blaring music. I would go to hear the aircraft and NOTHING ELSE!
    US airshows are far worse

I enjoy the commentary although the music is a little annoying for videographers as it causes copyright issues.

Made the 850km round trip to the airshow with my 5 year old daughter. Shame about the F-35. Was not expecting the Yak-110 to be that noisy. Scared the hell out of my daughter when he hit the power.
