if the cubs started hitting on all cylinders offensively alone they would be a hard out for pretty much anyone just average pitching and from time to time a dominating performance from double trouble S&S on the mound
Please don’t trade Stroman or Bellinger. Resign them and keep this team together. Continuity is a big thing. If anybody needs traded it is Swanson. Definitely a disappointment for the money we spent on him.
It's a 2-way street--not all leverage to the player. If the Cubs meet Stro's price ($70+ mil over 3 years), they've also got to consider salary balance of the team (several of the reg players aren't making 1 mil). Stro says he loves the Cubs, so if they make a competitive offer, he can afford to lower his number slightly to meet it. Same with Bellinger, a dependable bat and glove whose price is also high.
@@Nick9Threehe was an all star just because of name and fielding everyone knows that all star should’ve been hoerners, Swanson is hitting horrendously and is injured he’s more than a disappointment he shouldn’t have been an all star
Nico Hoerner is generally not thought of as being one of the top players in the league. But there is one thing at which Hoerner obviously excels. Look at these numbers: Overall BA: .272 BA w/ Runners in Scoring Position: .355 Overall SLG: .383 SLG w/ Runners in Scoring Position: .505 Hoerner is one of the best clutch hitters around.
@@Andrew_-nr7zt Tauchman does seem to be coming into his own. At his age, he does seem to be at the height of his career. I do wonder if the Cubs will use him as trade bait, if they can't get back into the division race.
@@MFPhoto1 nah i think they will hold onto him until PCA is brought up but if anything I think Belli is gonna be traded for a bullpen piece and maybe some top prospects
@@Andrew_-nr7zt I am sure there are one or two contenders who would like to have a veteran like Bellinger for the final drive. He should be worth about two top prospects. The same with Swanson. I am sure the Cubs' scouting staff is busy right now.
I don't know why the Nationals too out that one pitcher (That rarely uses fastballs) but thankfully they did, cuz we can't hit off of him. LET'S GO NICO HOERNER
@@Daisy-Girl0021 🤨 So you want to play this game. Cubs are 3-4 against the Nationals While the Reds are 4-0 against them. Against the Reds we are 1-4. Add it up this is why we behind them by 5.5 games. ☺ And the Brewers haven't even played the Nationals. Brewers are 9-3 against the Reds. 🧐
It’s my birthday and all I want is to meet the cubs
Great job cubs!

Candelario should be a great fit for As since they're releasing every player in the roster .

Nah don’t trade Swanson either. Put Swanson short nico second and move morel to third. Bellinger at first. That’s a great infield
What are you talking about? He was an all star this season and he’s been putting up the same numbers this year as his whole career.

While a sell off is necessary, it's always depressing. I hope Hendricks stays.
The Cubs were getting babip’ed to death in this game. Glad they still pulled this out
They’ve been all season. Suzuki is near the top in exit velocity yet keeps finding gloves
