Epitaph handles the overseas side of it and xtra mile recordings handles the uk as, apparently, Frank refused to leave extra mile... What a down to earth chap.
His lyrics are very punk rock, and he mentions his "punk rock attitude" in lots of his songs, so I always thought it was cool he was on Epitaph. Plus, Million Dead might have fit onto Epitaph.
@Kakuoteyalu Malibu, CA I believe. I helped do props for this video, there's an alternate version that is much, much, cooler that I wish they went with.
Well folk with an attitude does fit Epitaph, plus he was also a member of Kneejerk and Million Dead, both awesome hardcore bands, hi is quite possibly the best lyricist out there! It's not too different from the Get Up Kids or Division of Laura Lee really.
@maluorno i do not think you quite understood me..i was simply criticizing Epitaph for whom they SIGNED...nothing having to do with the label..next time you wanna troll everyone; COMPREHEND THE COMMENTS!
@psych0p4t3 In my mind, I've always thought Epitaph to be a post-hardcore/rock label, though I can appreciate diversity (Enter Shikari on Hopeless). I honestly don't think origins of record labels are factors, I mean, look at Warped Tour. What started out as a punk music festival turned into a generic-core festival infested with scene kids. Target audiences evolve with the label. As for Escape the Fate...they're garbage and don't belong on any label, imo haha.
I'm a fan. Something about his appearance makes me want a cigarette though... Oh, and I find his eyebrows abnormally aggressive and serious... But I've decided at the very least I like this song.
@maluorno Thats pure shit. Just because Frank Turner's folk songs tend to have a political message you think all folk music does? I'm discussing the sound, you're trying to discuss content and era. And Frank Turner even has plenty of songs that involve no politics. In fact, I can only think of Thatcher Fucked the Kids, to be honest. If anything folk artists focus on social issues and to need to travel and see new things. Which i suppose is a tip off to it's 60's roots
Thank you for this song!!! May God continue blessing you

Sorry for the five-year-long reply, but Isabel is the name of an English girl he met playing the Viper Room in LA while promoting Love Ire & Song.
