I just got these decks today. I paid $36 on Amazon. I haven't worked with them yet, but they are beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the box, considering it's 2 decks. The illustrations are just delightful! I'm so happy with these decks! I will definitely have to read the book before I work with them and I'm really looking forward to digging in.

I wasn't sure how I would work with this deck(s) or if I really wanted to keep it... but now that I've been working with it for a while, I'm really loving this pair of decks. They give such deep readings. I haven't shuffled them together yet, but have done that Mirror Spread which works really well for an in depth reading. I have really fallen in love with this Tarot Kit and I'm definitely keeping it!
@@the_hermits_cave I do want to try the deeper spreads that uses the two shuffled together, and might do a reading that way for a paying client as well, but the decks are so thick that I would probably have to shuffle them in sections and I’m not sure how well they’ll get shuffled that way. It would be time consuming for sure to get them properly shuffled. I’m also thinking of doing spreads using one as the “main” deck, with the other used as the clarifiers deck. So many ways to play with the set, I’m having a little bit of decision paralysis with them.

It would be interesting to use the deck as a morning and evening deck, perhaps looking forward to the day, then a review at its end. Is the TDM defined by the arrangement of the pips? Love the courtiers!
I adore this Tarot (or rather these Tarot decks). I think Andrea's artwork is stunning, a lot of thought was put into each card beyond the mirror effect and the concept is fantastic! As always, John Matthews totally delivers in the guidebook. Imho, this Tarot kit is a gem! Andrea and John collaborated again last summer on Kickstarter (The book of shadows: an alchemist's story) which I have backed and received a while ago. Have you got it or heard of it?

I received this last week & I love it =) Anything John & Caitlin Matthews = auto buy for me. I love it because the art is so different from the decks that come to mind re: Matthews. I keep finding more things each time I study them, more differences between the 2 and more teeny details. I usually love art that has a sense of humour! Thank you for reviewing it Simon. I just bought this deck today. It's not something I would normally choose as I don't like decks that are too "peopley". But the artwork really struck something in me. I can't wait to do a deep dive spread and see what it has to tell me. Videos don't so justice to how nice the cards are, and how rich the colour pallet is.
I thought about buying this deck, but I have problems with decks with extra cards and usability. The Vice Versa Tarot comes to mind. I love the concept, but I just can't get comfortable with it enough to use it regularly. Thanks for the video!
I want this one SO BAD! I have "The Lost Code Of Tarot" and the unique artwork is what really drew me in.. I have to add this to my collection! I just purchased The Brady Tarot so ill have to save up my coin for this one.
I’ve not ventured into pip decks yet but these are tempting as they are so pretty and I love all the different styles of cups especially. I’m not sure I find the shadow deck particularly drawing me into my depths at first glance but I’d be interested to see how you or anyone else finds that. The mirror cards are a quirky touch. Ooo I’m tempted..

I quite like the design on the light deck, the coloration etc., but I don't think I would use two deck at once like this, though interesting idea. I hope I'll find a video where someone is doing a mixed deck reading, would be interesting to see. Thank you for the walkthrough!
This reminds me a bit of the Tarot of the Secret Forest, but obviously instead of images on front and back, they made a separate deck. Really interesting concept. I rather wish the light version had a bit of color, but that is just my personal preference.

It’s certainly an unusual deck, but that’s part of its charm I’d say.
