He's friends with Slavik and he takes lessons from him as well. Slavik's style was very similar in that he tried to be the main focus point of the dance. Pavel is very talented, but I agree that he should tone it down a bit to make the focus on Oxana who happens to be one of the best female dancers in the world. I believe that the job of the male dancer is to make the female dancer dance to her full potential. Maurizio is my favorite dancer of all-time because of this. All of his partners danced to their full potential when they danced with him. He made Andra look almost as good as Yulia when they were dancing together. That's the sign of a good male dancer.
