    I have the same incubator, the manual is very clear about how the day counter works. States you have to reset it before each hatch and tells you to reset it after placing the eggs inside so that it is exact. That being said it is still a great idea to keep it all written down. Great video!

    It 'balances' by heating all of the plastic parts to the proper temperature. Yes, you'll lose some temperature. Putting cold eggs in will do the same. But it won't struggle near as hard to get them up to temp.

    Do you recommend this incubator I iam thinking of buying on what’s the hatching rate ?

  • @CarolinaGirlCreationZ
    @CarolinaGirlCreationZ 3 года назад

    From what I can tell so far, the timer keeps up, even in a power outage. I'm using this incubator currently for my first time after my Hatch-Mate only yielded one hatchling out of 9. Hoping soooo much for a better hatch rate.
    I may also be commenting too soon but I tend to comment at the point of my thoughts and edit later. LOL! I've not had any issues with the temperature remaining at 99.5 at all but that dang humidity seems soooo hard to control. I've had to even put water in the B side just to get it to stay up enough, which really concerns me for the last three days. I even have towels on mine like you, too.

  • @kaitrizzo490
    @kaitrizzo490 4 года назад +2

    I’ve got the same issue. I’ve gone ahead and had it plugged in for a few hours and struggling to get it to 50-52. I just had to add water to b as well. We shall see.

    Baby chicken's on the way that's neat seeing them like that. I wonder if the other two that were undeveloped if you leave them in there longer will they develop maybe they just need more time or are they just duds. Because they were layed at different times so maybe some are further along than others

    • @TexasFilipino
      @TexasFilipino  4 года назад +2

      Mary thank you for the comment. The eggs do not start to develop until the right constant temperature and humidity take place. So even if the eggs was laid at different times they will all begin to develop at the same time. You do have what they call a hatch rate. You will sometimes have unfertilized eggs or perhaps a weak egg. They sometime partially develop and don't make it. Super important that they never get cold once development starts. A hen might leave a nest and quickly go drink or eat and get back. She knows not to be gone long. Thank you and Happy Easter

      @@TexasFilipino thanks as you can see I know nothing about egg hatching. Interesting to know that they develop after they reach a certain temperature and humidity thanks for the info and Happy Easter to you also

    Hey have you seen the video where Brian started to incubated around hundred eggs. I believed that was in Apr 3, 2020. Then around the 6 or 7 some eggs had hatch. What you think about that?

  • @forced4motorsports
    @forced4motorsports Год назад

    FYI - That is not an actual eye in the earlier eggs, it's the entire embryo. Seeing the 'eye' is slang for seeing the embryo. If you hold the egg still you can see it swimming around in there at this stage: 7-11 days.

  • @sophyascoffeespill4121

    No the timer does not reset. Even if you turn it off and back on or if it loses power.

    my problem is the first3 days humidity was in the low 60s notice on the 4th day it was 56 degree but the water in a dried up...my question is will the eggs be safe at no water in a for 18 if its stable at 55-58 then add water to both and b to kick the humidity up... so far i'm not happy on my 6th day...next time or next upgrade on the new Nurture Right 360 if they listening add a humidity control module.....the best incubator ive used ever is the rcom20 best ever 95 percent rate..if its fertile it will hatch it out...took it for granted and got lazy didn't clean and messed up the humidity module, now using this 360 and little disapointed...
    hope the 16 eggs from this first trial on the 360 comes out ok, if not ill definate send it back ...amazon...

      Florida Keys Mike - I bought a 28ft wide beam Bayliner Ciera Sunbridge Cabin Cruiser today. I found this boat a few years ago and my cousin talked me into him getting it but it was too much for them to take it down to coast and deal with it. We are coordinating to ship it abroad. We was just about to ship another one I have similar to it but it isn't the wide beam like this one. You being FLorida Keys Mike do you have a boat down there?
