Pat, Billy, & Danny It doesn’t get any better than a one pocket final thanks again for the great match. I love watching and hopefully many more to come.
Thank you, Accu-Stats Video Productions, for posting these great games. What I keep seeing in these is that Efren can afford to make mistakes because he's just so good. Anyone else better not make more than a couple of mistakes if they want to win the game.
The only legendary pocket billiards player is the grand daddy of pool Alfredo de Oro,he has 32* world titles in straight pool and 22 world titles in 3 cushion billiards, Efren Reyes will never get that many titles and if you think he's the best then you don't know a dam thing about pool
When I was younger I said I hated 1 pckt n would rather watch grass grow etc. but lately I Been watching these 1pckt videos religiously and have truly fell in love with it. Don’t care to play rotation anymore lol
I can't understand how to win this kind of game in billard. Haha. When I heard one of the commentators said: "race to 3..' Me: 'what?Too short to watch".. But I was wrong.. It took more than an hour before you can reveal who's the winner. Anyways, congratulations to my countrymen, The GOAT, the MAGICIAN... Efren BATA Reyes.
Por siempre número uno!! Lo otro es muy molesto lo de subtítulos si los comentaristas lo hacen en inglés , porque los subtítulos igual , no dejan ver bien el video
Is their prior match to this one on tape? Billy and Danny introduce this final as the follow up to Efren/Smith previous match, which was best both announcers had ever seen!
when Efren sunk the eight, wouldn't that point go to danny? or did Efren get that point because he sunk the 15 right after sinking the 8? 18:15 Also i thought in order to not have something like that not be a foul, you would have to ensure that the object ball your aiming for goes into your pocket first before another ball going into the opponent's pocket, i guess not?
At the end of Efren's turn, any balls made in either pocket count for each player, so both players scored a point on Efren's shot when he pocketed two ball. So Reyes gets credit for one ball and Smith gets credit for one ball.
@@AccuStats i feel dumb, i re watched the video and i guess i didnt even notice smith going from 4 to 5 i guess i thought he was already at 5 idk. but thank you for the clarification. My roommates and I recently bought a pool table for 600 bucks, great deal for the quality of this Brunswick table made in the 60's. two holes in the felt, was able to precisely patch them with the felt under the rails. unless the cue rolls very slowly over it, it works, i know knew felts are that expensive but we arent that serious. but we only know how to play 8 ball and 9 ball recently, id like to get this game and 3 ball cushion as well but as we are all novices getting the interest to learn a new game is difficult. especially when i myself are still understanding the nuances of the game. I made my own rack from some nice ash and applewood. Now my father is creating my own cue stick out of resin, tbh its not going well LOL but im enjoying the incremental failures, tbh idk if the cue stick will ever be anything more than for show not sure how resin will react under a break. being amateurs, we got a 9-foot table without measuring the room with consideration of our cue lengths so on the long side of the table if the cue ball is close to the rail your forced to angle your cue pretty high up or use one of the short cues for a 12 y o thats partially warped LMAO. pool halls are crazy expensive around me or maybe im unfamiliar, 17$/h plus 10/person? anyone have an input on this price?
Then you’re living life incorrectly. Be proud of yourself and what YOU do in your life. If you love in comparison to another man, then you will never find happiness
At 25:47 why didn't Smith try to pocket one of the balls either with his shot here or his next one before The Goat wins that first game? Was it just not viable to shoot a cut on the 4 or a cut on the 12 in these shots respectively? I know both shots would be difficult cuts but I would think someone of this skill level could make those no? I always feel like in one pocket that one player needs just one more ball but instead of shooting for it they keep going for stopping their opponent from pocketing a ball. I guess it's the higher percentage shot because even with a less than perfect safety play the opponent will still have to make hard shots to win? Idk, I just feel like the person who is closer to the win, in this case only needing to pocket one more ball, plays too defensively when they could just end it by shooting one more ball in. I want to try one pocket even though I am not good at pool yet, but maybe by playing it I would have a better understanding of why they take the shots they take.
I know Danny was being a kind young man, but trust me man, you need efren to take his time clock violations when you can. Just because a man has some age on him doesn't mean he can't still let the tricks fall out of the sleeve.
I guess I don't know the rules but they have cameras there recording everything, they could have positioned that cue ball within a few millimeters, should not have been counted as a scratch in my opinion.
All I got to say is read the rule book if you're gonna enter the league. Dang word" buy "means something completely different. Everyone was telling me "you gotta buy".. bartender was about to make several shots of tequila, until the coaches wife said buy meant I didn't play that night.
Im curious on why the ref did not call some sort of re-shot when the cue ball struck the obstruction on Efrens shot. i guess an un-noticed obstruction on the table is an equal disadvantage to both players and in such a game as billiards resetting a shot is too difficult. idk maybe have danny have ball in hand but it doesn't count as a foul to Efren.
Each player can only hit the balls into one pocket each. A player is assigned a pocket positioned on one corner of the table, and the other the opposite.
I've watched 42 mins of this and I'm sure, I don't know what the hell is going on with this game. I don't understand the rules of one pocket, so I have no idea what they are supposed to be shooting at.
bssically the players have a designated pocket that they must use to pot their balls. usually its a bottom corner pocket each. They can pot any ball into their own pocket and get a point but lose a point if they pot a ball into the opponents pocket. usually first to 8 wins as there are 15 balls
@@buddystewart2020 Any ball. But the real trick of the game is to be defensive, in other words to make it as difficult as possible for the other guy to get any shots. That's why positioning the c/b is so critical.
Each player has a corner pocket the breaker chooses now you can shoot at any ball to your pocket trying to make 8 balls you must hit an object ball then a rail if not its minus 1 point for the shooter if any ball is pocketed in any other pocket it is spotted on the rack spot the object is to keep your opponent from having a shot at his pocket while setting the table up for you to make your 8 balls
I haven’t played serious pool in 20 years but I can only remember one black guy. I just over last couple of weeks started watching some matches and I’ve seen a lot of black refs. I don’t care. It’s just an observation.

One pocket has changed my way of playing the game. Lots of defensive play which I like. 🤩
Alot of defensive plays and setting up, this is probably Efren Reyes favorite pool game.

Pool halls are expensive. Often time they have "day rates" or "monthly rates". Other than that, practice at home.
