    I have researched dozens (or possibly more) different cages and decided to purchase this system on 4-20-2020 and will update on the progress. I have also purchased all 29 poles required (about $300)

      @Alexander Vega I will. Got the system on Saturday May 2nd so good delivery time during this COVID mayhem. It was bad hot outside so I took some pictures as I went but not too many. It took me a few hours to do BUT... I was alone and it's up just not all the pulleys completely hooked up yet. All you need is a ladder and a decent handheld drill. I'll update on here for others to see. I know I researched a lot so...

      @Alexander Vega coming back to what you have asked ... I purchased the poles and the net separately from Jones Sports and it all worked fine. I had to modify the cage size a bit since I was 10x10x55 versus 12x12x55. You can purchase the net and system through Jones Sports and I probably would have IF I would have discovered this system earlier. Sometimes are Christmas you can find great deals on complete nets which I did. All you have to do on your own is buy the poles which are available at any Home Depot.
      Directions are clear and easy to follow but I did have 3 brackets fail on me immediately due to faulty welds. I notified the company on Sunday morning and they immediately replied and are mailing replacements.

      @Alexander Vega Hey John! YES! There is no way to cut corners... even if you build it yourself. I found that out as well. Call Mr. Jones directly 573-881-4024. Not only will he send you the appropriate pieces but he will also send the modified directions and measurements to exactly fit the net you have. I get no kick backs from this, I am just a Dad that searched for months and wanted to try to save a little money and have convenience as well. This cage was easy up but took me all day since I was alone. If you have another person you can do it in a few hours with no problems. Also no stress about wind and weather... We have had strong winds for days and the cage is solid. FYI... I did have 3 pieces where the welds had failed immediately. All I did as email the pictures and the new pieces were at my doorstep in a few days. It's a nice cage with the ability to expand if desired.

      @@pskinny36 No regrets at all. I have expanded my cage a to the 12x12x55 since I had discovered my net was bigger than I originally thought and it was easy to do. No problems with the connectors from Jones sports or any piece I bought from them. It works as good today than it did 2 years ago. I do take the netting down in the winter but the poles have been in the ground since day 1 with zero issues.

    Directions say to drill a small hole in the 10'6" vertical poles, then insert the self drilling screws. So I have to drill through the pipe?

    The poles that were needed for my 12x10x30 cage is 10' 6 poles and they have a tapered end. Which end does the taper go for the upright poles? Does the tapered end go in the ground or up in the air for the connecting joints?

    I see them drilling in the dirt. Is that for an easier way to put the poles in the ground? I have alot of rock underneath my dirt where i live and was wondering if it will be an issue getting the poles in the ground. Thoughts? thanks

      They send an Auger with the kit. I drilled the holes with it put in the supplies sleeves where the poles go and that's it.

    • @marcster13
      @marcster13 Год назад

      You will not be able to use the auger on hard ground with rocks. I had to buy a post hole digger and a 6 foot rock pole. Dug down about 15 inches x 6 to 8 inches wide. I then filled the holes back up with dirt without the rock. Tapping down the dirt as I filled each hole. Then without the auger I hammered the white pole holder into the ground. This work is not for the faint of heart if you have rocky soil.

    Has anyone had any experience with this fame in windy conditions? My back yeard can get pretty windy and I am worried about with the net hung on it would the wind blow it over or rip up the ground sleeves.

      As long as you're not dealing with hurricane gusts all the time, you'll be fine. We had a customer in FL tell us their's survived the hurricane a couple years ago.

    Directions that come with the kit also say to cut off a foot from 7 of the poles to make the length 71' instead of 72'. What? This install is not easy. The measurements for where to drill holes to anchor the frame, were way off. I had to do it all over again with my own measurements to correct it. EZ should not be included on this. Batting cage is up, but whomever created the directions and specs, needs to look for a different job. Hard to follow.

      Hi Matt. I'm not sure on order statuses. I don't work directly at the company anymore but am more of a spokes person/advocate. I can tell you they are VERY busy right now and are doing their best to get orders out. Between it being busy season and the pandemic, they're doing their best. You can always send an email or give a call for order updates but I'm sure your order will be going out soon.

    • @DerickZ28
      @DerickZ28 4 года назад +2

      I disagree. Many batting cages have more complex cable systems and require concrete which makes the whole setup process take 2 days. This can be done in an afternoon.

    • @DerickZ28
      @DerickZ28 4 года назад

      Also I would add, this is the initial instillation. There is more work to be done on first setup. After that it takes less than an hour to take down and put back up. Great for changing seasons!

    • @mattharriss3835
      @mattharriss3835 2 года назад

      It is easy up and easy down BUT... I get your point. When I go to mow I have to run to 8 different poles and pull it up. Not a huge deal but it takes about 10 minutes. Also you can do it with one hand so you won't need to sit down your beer. ;)
