i love Farya she is a free woman but a bit deceived to think she can change the way they operate in the Herem and that she too won't just ended up a slave. But love as at first blinded many women.

Suppose she is free but what is she doing in a place where they don't consider her as such?! Her situation is not that of a free woman at all. How her life revolves around the Sultan as if she was part of the harem is pathetic.

If Farya had stopped being so arrogant and ignoring palace decorum, busting in without knocking for example? She might have had an easier time of it. Rubbing those who she viewed as beneath her the wrong way seems to have been a knack of hers. Kosem, Ayse, and others tried to tell Farya that she would not be the only woman Murad would be intimate with, that monogamy would not happen. Farya had been a princess, but she and her mother are both now without a throne and country.

It's honestly why the idea of introducing European princesses to the harem always fell so flat to me as a plot line. These were women raised to expect a huge degree of importance above others (understandable for the time period). I can't imagine them enjoying being forced to be treated as all other women or that their senses of entitlement would have lasted anywhere near as long in the harem in real life.

@@Redluna32 It's obvious from history that the Sultans particularly like European women. they were stolen from all over Europe! By the time you get to Murad he's genetically about 98% European. But I doubt a European Princess would willingly give up her freedom to be in a harem

As much I have seen of this show, neither Kösem or any other concubines of any of the sultan's were happy that they weren't THE only one.

@@accaeffe8032 its pure womanish...no lady can happily settle on this idea of sharing her man with other woman...not a little bit...not in any era

She’s without a throne because Murad played ‘dirty’..giving the throne that was supposed to be her mom’s to someone else to bind Farya to him (since a Sultan can’t be with a heiress of a throne).
tbh I always feel it’s funny when Kosem being so strict about the rules in harem, since she herself in the earlier days barely following any at all with Ahmed 😅
