Not a barber. But I'm a fan of yours. There are lots of nuggets in this video. The advice is applicable to any small business, whether its a being a notary public to being an insurance agent.
Thanks bossio. Sometimes I get so caught up in the thought that my haircuts aren’t good enough because I’m comparing them to Instagram, when I should be comparing to where I was 2 years ago.
Having cool tools having interesting conversations and being a well read person, having the ability to communicate with people. If you find yourself talking to people who seem impossible to communicate with and you can break that barrier your in a good place in your mind. Consistent effort, and remember things about them, you have there best interests and needs at hand.
The barber industry is without a doubt in need of a change, especially some of the guys who are pushing guys to do 200$ haircuts, what bossio is doing is actually something that makes me want to leave NY, I want to be around like minded guys who want to grow together and if anything I have learned is after years you can’t do it alone, you need a team to be be able to achieve greatness.
I feel you should ask the people what they want in a barber shop. We want to best cut possible. We want a barber that can cut ALL the hair not just fade and want $50. We don't care about a birthday card, we care about the cut. We care about the barber focusing on the cut at hand. FOCUS...stop talking, stop blasting the music and focus!
i agree with most of the stuff you said but you can probably notice that some barbers are charging more money not because of demand but because they know who to target as their avatar, and they know how to advertise to them directly. But i don't know how they would perform in a market crash, something you always mention when you talk about charging high prices.
I really want to make it as a barber I've been doing different trades different jobs but deep down I know I love cutting hair but my anxiety is stopping me from going all out
I just want to give you my appreciation for what you do helping young men like myself develop as a man and in this industry. I’m 19 years old I’ve been cutting for a little over 4 years and I’ve been watching you since then. I barely took barbering seriously this year as I went to barber school and have my license now and have been working in a shop in Naples florida for 6 months now but only 2 as a full time barber and my only income. I appreciate the knowledge you have been dropping and the fact that your videos span into the real world and more about barbering then just standing behind the chair such as taxes and presentation. You have helped me so much over the years in all aspects not just through your haircut tutorials and I know you have helped thousands of others as well. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I think amazing and you should be proud of yourself. I have a 13 year-old son. He turnong 14 this year and I would love for him to be in your shoes. The world is yours, bro. Don’t let anybody tell you any different. You can accomplish so much you got so much time ahead of you don’t take it for granted. good luck to you and put God first 💪🙏
