Care team and landlord and neighbors hurt my eating, hurt my food budget, I just give up on the pple aspect. All I am doing is protecting meds, perishable foods and managing showers. Potassium magnesium supplements. Just a endless hellish exhausting existence. To exist in life is painful enough. Life with mental health care is just less quality of life. It's suffering and managing suffering. Care team/case mgmt is just for pple with support systems or clear goals. Mine are just getting to fifty, taking meds, doing blood work, life revolves around meds, moods, symptoms, it's not a happy life. It's managing misery.
I have 5-12 years left. I'm just trying to paint and do physical therapy. Small circle of pple. I'm just too depleted from my elders to live how Americans say a 42 should. SSI and medicaid control it all. Then a few women in housing are effective at removing pple from housing programs because the renters or myself are not deemed liked. I already do not likr my outcomes. It's pain. It's pain to have friends. It's pain to be near family. Zero comfort. Case mgmt doesn't care and isn't trained. 16 years and I finally have case mgmt and still landed up homeless over bogus tenant default letters. I have money for housing and there's no units available. Case mgmt let me move in triple digit heat temperatures. I went to the ER because I was injured. Case mgmt and LL agreed to 7 21 but it was 7/15 throw out date. No emergency housing voucher was filed. Monday it might be filed. I'm not going to the appointment due to no energy no money no food. A total failure outcome. Temporary times? More like my norm. I learned I'm just not allowed / Unwanted/unlikable/ anywhere to live.
Whether or not it's appropriate for case managers to take their shoes off in your house largely depends on the situation and your preferences as the homeowner or client. In some cultures and households, it's customary to remove shoes at the door as a sign of respect and cleanliness, and many people appreciate this gesture. If you're comfortable with them doing so, it's perfectly fine. However, it's important that this is communicated clearly between you and the case manager. If you're okay with them removing their shoes, you could simply let them know when they arrive. On the other hand, if you'd prefer they keep their shoes on, you should feel free to express that as well. In any professional setting, including home visits, clear communication and mutual respect are key. If you're unsure or feel uncomfortable, it's always okay to ask them about their practice and express your own preferences.
I love living in Norman and was flourishing with my art. I have too many risk factors for case mgmt help. I'm trying to figure out the housing in Norman. I have a small income. I met a landlord that kept writing tenant default letters in 8 months, evicted. The landlord excerises unfairness. And it's public housing. I'm seeing the area wants to lessen dependents so that ages 16-35 can get established and grow. I'm 42 and thought I had a good future here. Evicted in 10 months. Never late on rent. I mostly give up on housing and landlords. Overwhelmed. Exhausted. Distressed. So I'll send this to care team. Care team doesn't care as far as I am concerned they let me go homeless. I feel let down powerless and unwilling to trust case mger because she let me go homeless I'm futureless.
Case mgmt doesn't understand I'm not a influencer, not reinventing myself, I'm a failure to thrive diagnosis case. The food, home supplies, now eviction? Case mgmt didn't file for emergency housing voucher. I'm year 16 of mental health meds and I have gastroenterologist.... Mental health care is cruel. Case mgmt let me down. And treats me with contempt. After meeting with them tenant default letters began. Dad died more tenant default letters more failures in therapy. It's just NOT A PLACE of care or help. Referrals?? The case mger sends you to wrong resources. Then laughs with the staff at the outcome. I'm very hurt at case mgmt.
