    Ma'am the stability of the anion is I->Br->Cl- because of size ,then we know stability is higher then lower is the energy so the energy order should be Cl->Br->I-.

    • @swastiksharma8012
      @swastiksharma8012 5 лет назад +1

      cl- is more stable than Br- than I- because of the small size electron is held tightly and as we say the smaller size contributes more towards electronegativity so Cl->Br->i- is the stability order

    Ma'am sorry bt aap ne thoda complicated kar diye iodine weak field ligand h baki sab se woh pairing nahi karega toh use energy gap bht kam h to promote transition n energy is inversely proportional toh uska wavelength jyada hoga aise b aap bta sakte the

    • @JChemistry
      @JChemistry  5 лет назад +3

      Weak field ligand can affect the splitting of d-orbitals only. It can decrease the energy gap between t2g and eg orbitals but that has nothing to do with charge transfer. In charge transfer , electrons are supposed to go from X- to Co3+
      So we are concerned with the energies of metal and ligands only.

    At first, you told that electronegativity proportional to 1/E then E is proportional to 1/wave length, So E.N proportional to the wavelength. Then the answer should be option A.But you told that it is option B, How??
