@@CaptSpeirsB744 I have seen worse censorship. Robots instead of Humans is giving this version a certain appeal. Stuff with Robots was pretty Popular in the 80s and the Kids in Europe didn't even know it was changed.
The music is not something that was deliberately changed, though. This is a side effect of European NES having a quarz with slightly less frequency (because PAL and NTSC have different timings). You can notice the slower music in any PAL NES game is comparison with NTSC versions (US/JP). The lucky-not-so-lucky exception are Taiwanese famiclones made for Eastern Europe, Russia in particular (Dendy brand is the most famous). They had a quarz oscillator frequency from the NTSC version, but had PAL output, which caused some incompatibiilities with some European games (Sigh... Elite...). On the other hand, the music there was as fast as in the NTSC versions.
This game looks very familiar....😅
It's called "Censorship" in Great Britain. That's why I never buy PAL games.

I always thought that this game was not licensed

Game Now to Original Contra
I feel like I've seen this before...lol. So they altered the main character and slowed down the music...clever... 😕
