Career switch for me. Was in kitchens for decades making a respectable salary. The hours needed never matched. Once I’m a journeyman, I’ll be making more Monday than I was in 15-30 less hours a week. 🎉
I'm in Nebraska, what is the best option to become Electrician?I come from French country ,i was Electrician 10 years in my country . I'm 30 y.old. It's now i start learning English. ( community college? I don't know the best option.. i need orientation)
I got into having known , growing up that a handful of family friends were into the trade. I wanted job stability , go places , gain personal growth along with all the knowledge behind this trade and the many routes one can take in the electrical world. I’m 4 years in and I can now hold my own weight , work independently but at the same time pass on the knowledge on to others just as I have gained from those before me. That puts me in a comfortable position where I can bargain my pay as I see my value. I can still say today that this doesn’t really feel like work to me because no matter who I am working with or where. I am always having fun , managing my time efficiently & getting things done the right way as well as safely. To anyone thinking about an honest job that’ll keep you busy year round and can also be used as a “ spring “ towards something even bigger, I would say this is the right career for you. You get out what you put into it. 🙏👍

Honestly, I did like 3 others like this and have no clue? Lexi did a full-blown podcast with #tradehounds while I was downstairs. You were probably smooching with Wiha or some other major sponsor at the Ritz. We have to work for our cheddar 😆
Check your local IBEW or IEC sites. A community college is a great place to start as well.

When did you even have a chance to do this? It felt like we were together almost the whole time 😂
