I bought this watch a few weeks ago and I have been very happy with it.The Addiesdive logo on the back and bracelet don't bother me at all.The 19mm band width is no problem I have put a lovely brown 18mm leather strap on it and you can't notice the difference. I recommend this watch. 👌
OOooh ! Here we have that great rarity the quartz watch which has a secondhand that hits the markers!!! I don't know why they did not just shorten the name to Addies (or Adive) for this piece. I am probably in the minority but I would be happy with 3 random Chinese characters as the brand name on Aliexpress watches (even if it was saying, for example, "Knobhead").
This looks very similar to the Tandorio that was on Just One More Watch. Looks far more expensive than it actually is. Great looking watch, and a great video.
@@WatchTheFeck I've not actually seen that one. I've been really busy lately, so haven't been able to watch much. Does the Tandorio use the same case and movement?
I purchased the silver version of the AD2065, the watch reviewed here, and think the watch is an excellent value. It's a dressy GADA watch that is priced at a point where I can actually do anything with it. Lume lasts all night. Furthermore, the quartz movement and mineral crystal lend themselves to greater reliability in truly stressed conditions. As for the 19mm lugs, I am a bracelet fan but would use an 18mm band or trim down a 20mm. With the 19mm lugs, the proportions of the case are good. For anyone considering this or other similar Addies watches, I think the silver dial is dressier but the creme has better legibility. The second hand does not hit markers 100% of the time, but I will trade this off against the shorter battery life of the vh31 on non GMT models. I would prefer a simpler script on the name, but eventually one forgets about it.
Thanks for the great review. It’s a great watch for the price. There are several other brands with better specs but they are of course much more expensive. That lume was a pleasant surprise! Thanks again.
This brand is really selling me on the mecha-quartz movement. I've a couple of the "sand-dune" variants and must say that I've been surprised at their "look", compared to a regular mechanical watch. That aside, great videos. I really enjoy your channel.👍
kind of reminds me of an orient champagne colored sun and moon released several years back. that one is not a gmt though. i love the engraving on the watch back of this addiesdive .
@@RampartPh I do love this dial colour. I normally like the Addiesdive casebacks too, but I just don't think this suits this type of watch myself though.
Collecting for decades has granted me immunity from the 19mm dilemma. I have plenty. And mineral crystal has its own qualities that sapphire lacks. From extreme side angles on boxed, domed or top hat crystals it remains perfectly clear allowing better distortion. Sapphire gets milky from those angles. I have Rolex's with plastic crystals so there's that. I am slowly warming up to quartz movements. There was a time they represented everything that was going wrong with the watch industry.
Yeah I sort of get what you mean. I would much rather get a mineral crystal than a sapphire with no A/R. Some of these cheaper watches have terrible to no A/R. I will say, addiesdive usually does a good job with their sapphire, ie choosing a flat vs domed on more budget, or just charging more for any domed sapphire watches with decent a/r.
@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Funny thing .... I am considering a date window watch and this watch is great. There are two reasons I have never considered a date watch. First is the date windows WAS always located at the 3'clock position. This throws symmetry out the window. I like balance. The window at 6 is perfect. The other is fussing adjusting the date feature. Used to have to rotate the crown from 10-clock to 2'clock to advance the date wheel. Now it is much easier. Great question and marvelous video.
Excellent review, the photography at the start was superb 👍. I much prefer this version and it is a superb watch for £56, the mineral glass doesn't bother me, but 19mm lugs are a complete deal breaker for me. I'm not a fan of bracelets, and I'm not starting to collect a fourth width of strap just for one watch.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Half the watch width is the usual so I would expect 18mm, but 20 would look OK. I suspect this case design is used by many companies, there are 36mm Watch Dives with 19mm lugs too, so I think Addiesdive just repurposed an available oyster style case.
Nice review mate! - good watch, did you get a chance to look at this Tandorio? "Premium 39MM NEW Grade 2 Titanium Diver 200m " - Brand is not on the watch... similar watch and titanium. I do like this watch too.
Lug width makes it a no go. Been collecting for a little over thirty years and I learned early to avoid odd lug widths. Straps are much easier to find now but the selection is still limited. Other than that it looks like a sold option. I’m not adverse to quartz and prefer it most of the time.
