    Brick buildings,,,, iron fences... and green trees... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love these tiny little front spaces, which are so much easier to maintain. And yes, the hydrangeas are breathtaking... especially the blues. THe little book store is my dream! I wish we had one as charming... or one at all! The nooks and crannies, the little patterned lamp shades, the arches and little round window ... like a little secret hideaway. All the little critters, the doggie bookends, those tiny doors to who knows where. I am 73 and my imagination is going crazy. I can only imagine seeing it from a child's view! I am sure they go home and dream of this place.

      Isn't this Book Store just beautiful......Cozy to the max?!! The last time I was in the Children's area they had the train going around the top. They also have a Cafe (indoor/outdoor) that I would love to try sometime. Have a beautiful Sunday Liane!

    My Grandma Bornstein used to take us to the Swan Boats every summer. We would always have an adventure riding the subway. She was our Tour Guide. I loved all the buildings and wished I could live in one of them. Thank you for taking us along with you! I love the Book Store...I've wanted to open one for many years. Thank goodness we have our local library within a beautiful old building.

    As a young bride (43 years ago) my husband and I travelled to Boston. I told him that I belonged there and never wanted to leave. These days, I feel so fortunate that we have close family living there and for us is only 1 hour flight. And every time I still tell my husband that I don;t want to leave! You Tube sometimes unsubscribes viewers for some reason that nobody understands, it's happened to me so I had to re subscribed to all my favorite channels. I was just on a YT live stream and many people complained about the same thing. Thank you for this beautiful day trip Carla!

    Good Morning Carla ☕🍓, trying to find the right words for your interesting tour of some beautiful places in Boston. You must have loved being at the Beacon Hill Bookstore, I truly appreciate your showing us such an amazing place that felt so much at home and brought back treasured memories of so many books. My Grandmother had that typewriter that you shared.
    You captured many lovely places, the beautiful Charles River, the George Washington statue, the Ducklings dressed in honor of the Celtics, many beautiful hydrangeas, and even shared a delicious 😋 looking lunch. Hope you know I appreciate You ❤ ☮🇺🇸❤🤍💙

    You did a beautiful job filming Boston. As a kid I went to the North-end once a week to shop at the market with my Italian parents at Haymarket square.where they had fresh fruit and vegetables in their carts. and remember sitting in the back of our station wagon eating fresh hot Italian bread from the bakery.
    Ha …funny the things that stay with you . we also would go to Regina’s pizza place in the North End which was so delicious ! It is still there and still does a great business and the line to get in was down the street and sound the corner, not too long ago it was on Chronicle on TV….My father was a cab driver in his younger years in Boston and had many stories to share, and had many stars in his cab and knew every street in Boston like the back of his hand. That was when Boston was a much safer place to be.in.. Again thank you for sharing and bringing back fond memories of times gone by.🌸

    Thanks for the tour of beautiful historic Boston! I was born in Boston in 1948 and my three siblings were born in Boston as well. Celebrated my 70th birthday at the Top of the Prudential building, the Hub restaurant which closed down during the pandemic. My late parents were married at the Church of the Advent on Beacon Hill in 1939 after my mother who grew up on the Cape went to secretarial school in Boston and worked for famous Judge Brandeis during the 1930s. Both my mother and older sister lived on beautiful historic Beacon Hill before they got married. I love Boston in all the seasons but esp. the Spring! The summers are hot there! An uncle by marriage grew up in Jamaica Plains and was of Albanian ancestry, so I grew up eating moussaka and spanikopeta, a Greek spinach pie, so I love Greek food! But, I wish they hadn't shut down Durgin Park that was there since 1827 that had authentic Yankee New England food! A great place, that was a real tragedy! Hate it when we lose famous old historic landmark restaurants! Thankfully I have a Durgin Park cookbook! Husband and my brother in law graduated from Boston U. My parents first lived on the beautiful Back Bay. Commonwealth Ave. was designed after the boulevards of Paris, so Boston reminds me of London or Paris, and has a very European feel to it! Forebears came here to Boston on my maternal side from the UK, and Scotland in 1721 and fought in the Revolutionary War.♥♥

      @mynewenglandstory  4 месяца назад +1

      Oh my goodness, thank you so much for sharing your Story....I truly enjoyed it! I love knowing that the Back Bay was designed after the boulevards in Paris because that is exactly how I felt walking around there. It was so peaceful that day and I didn't want to leave! I will be keeping my eye open for the Durgin Park Cookbook.....if I could be lucky enough to find it at an Estate Sale or used Book Store. Happy Fourth of July Brenda, and again, thank you for sharing!

    Hi Carla! I loved this video, especially enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the hydrangeas. I was in Boston in the late 90's on a bus trip from CT. I think it may be time for another visit, maybe in the fall when it cools down. We just got back from Cape May NJ today. It was so gorgeous down there, even during this heat wave, because there was a constant breeze. I don't know if you have ever been there, but the area has many beautiful old Victorian homes and gorgeous hydrangea gardens. That was the place that inspired my love of hydrangeas and I now have many bushes and trees around my home. I just placed my first order from your site! I ordered the Heavenly body cream and 2 of the cookies. Looking forward to receiving. Have a wonderful week! 💗

I’ve been to Boston in the summer when it was in the 90s and humidity off the charts. Drinking water is definitely a must! I do prefer Boston in the Fall when it’s not so hot. Great video!
