What about not to connect the Shield on one side, i.e. the (last) slave side? If we connect both shields on both sides, the electromagnetic field will interfer. Doesn't it need to be connected to only one side for the shield to be efective? Great video!

Recently had a machine with alarm acknowledgment delaying about 30-40 seconds. Couldn’t find anything, the profibus terminations looked good. But I decided to cut it back and re connect anyway - it’s been two weeks since then, customer says it’s back to normal.

Shielding continuous all throughout, and terminators switched on at the ends ( off in the middle).
