Thanks for answering my question! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode - it’s always great to get an insight into what it’s like working at a LEGO store! :)
12:07 as a LEGO Store employee I completely agree and for 13:40 we had a costumer fill 4 PAB cups and then decided he didn’t want them and put all for cups into one bin and had to spend at least 1 hour and 20 minutes separating the bricks
Awesome video. I’ve worked in retail myself on a till and can relate to the great customer interaction. As you mentioned there are angry customers but they are the minority. I would love to work in a Lego store and thank you for sharing your experiences 👍
The knowing your going to buy a set in advance is helpful. It turns your 2 hour lego store trip into a 20 minute stop. That is what I did on my main lego store haul last year. Knew the 2 main sets I wanted were the 2018 hospital and perisan resturant before it retired so I got those then saw the 2018 lego brand store set tucked away on a shelf and I had to get it. That was to be my lego store haul last year but I forgot 4 sets smaller ones but still ones I wanted and when I went back in june of last year those were the things I got also a 2nd lego brand store set to make it into a moc. Comming up on a year since that trip and I still have 1 lego set from that trip sealed. Also on the angry customers I have had that to since I started workimg at a pet store in my area never ask a person for there cigarettes when checking out there dog items. Yes I did that 2 weeks ago. Not on purpose at all. It had been a long shift and I was starting to see things at the time it happened was like 1pm and I had not had my lunch yet and had been there since 8 that morning.
Interesting insight into your time working for TLG. Having spoken with a number of employees at different locations in and around London, I get the impression that, in the main they work for TLG because they are fans of the brand themselves. Of course, that’s not true of every employee. I also hear a lot of gripes too! In London it’s mostly about pay/salary. Yes, employees do benefit from incredible discounts and 50% off all day, every day is very good. But, living in the London region isn’t cheap and the employees I know personally struggle to pay bills, especially if they only get to work their contracted hours with no additional hours worked (overtime). Some contracts are for as few as 10 hours per week.
Yes, unfortunately some of the hours in the LEGO store are very small (something I forgot to mention even in part 2). They often had us just do 4 hour shifts. Many of the employees at my store weren't even huge fans of LEGO, they just liked the work!
Haha I wish I could have! I just have so much respect for the employees and the managers there and I don't want to upset them haha!! Maybe sometime soon :)

Oh man, that's really annoying. I am glad I never had to do that
I work at a LEGO store! It’s only one day a week right now (they play favorites and have a clique) but it’s been the chillest job I’ve ever had!
Ooof that sucks! Hopefully they give you more shifts soon but I agree, it's such a great job!
You have such a pleasant presence thank you for ur videos sir
Thank you so much!

Did you get to build unreleased sets for display?
What should you do to get the job ???
How is the training?
Wow this is so cool!
Sorry if this question is intrusive but how much did you make and what state were you in (or what was the minimum wage)
Is it possible to apply in person
Nope, I don’t even think we accepted resumes in person!
I would love some stories!
Haha remind me in a year or so 😁 maybe I should film them now so I don’t forget
It's my dream to work at or for lego
It was a very fun time!!
Just applied, hoping I get in
Best of luck!!

Working at the LEGO store seems fun!
It was a ton of fun!
I loved this episode, but it was a shame you didn't go into more detail about the stories!
Haha I wish I could have! I just have so much respect for the employees and the managers there and I don't want to upset them haha!! Maybe sometime soon :)
Were you still working there when a girl had the loose brick box on the floor?
