XG is a all Japanese member girls group all trained under a 5year project by Avex Japan and its subsidiary XGALX which Avex also established in korea for this project to promote there and also to aim the global market via kpop platforms.Some of them were only 5th or 6th grader when they first started.Their foundation were built early on,all solid,well prepared for this project.They traveled between two countries during the preparation period ,then before their pre debut,they moved to a studio in korea. There are multi national creators and staff members work for this project and of course the producer himself is a Japanese who was a Avex trainee him,self and graduated from Japanese university of Music. That's why the style of this song is similar to 90s/Y2K Avex's golden era when R&B based dance&vocal was popular in Japan.

Kpop is very versatile, you should watch more of korean artists. I think ypu could like DREAMCATCHER which is mainly a mix between pop and rock (The song SCREAM is a great way to discover them).
